All Nippon Airways and the 787-9 Dreamliner

Boeing and All Nippon Airways are both celebrating a victory because Boeing delivered its first 787-9 Dream Liner and All Nippon became the first to get it, and the first to have 787-8s. Quoted by All

Nippon’s president: “The 787 Dreamliner is a key element in our growth strategy and we are proud to be the first airline to fly both models of the 787 family,” said Osamu Shinobe, ANA president. He said the

new 787-9 will help as Tokyo is getting prepared for the 2019 Tokyo Winter Olympics. With this Delivery ANA now boats 29 787s! The fuselage of the 787-9 stretches twenty feet, it can fly forty more

passengers than the 787-8 can. Sixty Customers have so far ordered more than 1,000 787s.

I DIDN’T KNOW A 787-9 (back) and a 777 (front) COULD BE BEST FRIENDS! DID YOU?

KLM + Columbia = Find out!KLM has (FINALLY) decided to start flying to Columbia in 2015. Starting March 31st they will fly three

times a week to Bogata (Columbia’s capitol) and Cali (the third largest city). This is part of KLM’s summer service so it is unsure if it will stay year round, it will operate Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. This

will expand KLM’s Latin Service to twenty. From 1992 thru 1995 KLM operated flights to Bogata. With the new flights comes a new bonus. KLM’s partner Air France will let passengers fly between Bogata and

Cali seven days a week.

British Airways trying something new: Soccer

British Airways will now be putting soccer on things you can watch on their planes. The airline is introducing a popular show called Soccer AM on flights starting August 19th. The airline already hosts

Premiere League Goals. Also in an airline first the news channel Red Bull Sports launched (which I personally think is a joke). Will this play out? I doubt it

THE JOKE OF AIRLINES: EMIRATES, WHO TAKES an A380 on a

TWENTY minute flight?Emirates took an A380 on a twenty minute flight. NOW THAT IS A WASTE OF TIME

AND EFFORT ISN’T IT! This is just one of the behind the scenes insights provided by a short video made around the launch of Emirates’ A380 service to Kuwait.

UAE National A380 Captain, Mohammed Al Khayat, is shown enjoying family moments at home before embarking on another trip behind the controls of the

world’s largest passenger jet.

Egyptian cabin crew member, Ebtihal Hamdi, is filmed putting the final touches to her immaculate Emirates’ appearance before a crew bus transports her past the

world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, on her way into work.

Viewers then get a snapshot of the pre-flight crew briefing within Emirates Headquarters in Dubai, before the 25-strong team, plus flight deck crew, head to

the 489-seat aircraft.

Syrian Flight Purser, Ammor Alsaadi, is featured closely managing the multi-national team working across two decks during the one hour 45 minute flight to Kuwait.

“It’s challenging the amount of time we have to go through and do the service,” said Ammor in the video.

“If you look around, you see everyone is busy. We have basically 20 minutes to deliver the best in-flight experience.”

The flagship of the Emirates’ fleet offers 14 First Class Private Suites, 76 Lie-flat Business Class seats and 399 seats in Economy Class on the Kuwait route.
