Reliable patient monitoring, thanks to MODUL CapnoVol. Positioned directly next to the ventilator on the LIFE-BASE portable system, MODUL CapnoVol tells you the expiratory tidal volume and the CO2 content of your patient‘s exhaled air (capnography).
Our ventilation aids include the demand-capable COMBIBAG resuscitator for ventilation of adults and children, the silicone bag-valve-mask in three sizes and LIFEWAY, which can be used with a tube or a mask.

Ventilator for primary EMS and secondary transport
MEDUMAT Transport with CO2 measurement WM 28400 (NATO Stock Number 6515-12-382-2202)
MEDUMAT Transport without CO2 measurement WM 28300
Profit from the versatility of MEDUMAT Transport. Embedded in the proven LIFE-BASE portable system, the ventilator permits news usages by EMS teams on pre-hospital calls and emergency room teams in the trauma room and by intensive care teams for intra-hospital and inter-hospital transfers.
MEDUMAT Transport is used in primary EMS and secondary transport of emergency and intensive-care transport patients. MEDUMAT offers great flexibility, thanks to different types of ventilation – three pressure-controlled and three volume- controlled modes – and PRVC and the switchover to non-invasive ventilation in all modes. The device also gives you extensive venti-lation monitoring, a component that we believe must be included in a quality ventilator.
Convince yourself of the ventilator‘s simple operation, clarity and intuitive user navigation and select the equipment that‘s right for you. Depending on your needs, you can order MEDUMAT Transport with or without CO2 measurement (capnography).
Important features of MEDUMAT Transport:
Immediate overview of the most important ventilation parameters
The large color display allows simultaneous presentation of up to three monitoring curves.
Differentiated ventilation modes for high-quality treatment
New PRVC mode permits ventilation with volume-controlled setting that protects lungs.
Apnea ventilation provides automated safety if breathing ceases.

The greatest degree of safety for you and your patient during emergency and transport ventilation with MEDUMAT Standard a and MEDUMAT Standard. The robust and compact devices contain everything you need for controlled or controlled and assisted emergency ventilation. Embedded on the proven LIFE-BASE portable system, MEDUMAT Standard a or MEDUMAT Standard lets you put together your customized ventilation and oxygen therapy system.
The arrow system on the emergency ventilator guides you through the settings process. After you have set the respiratory rate, respiratory minute volume and ventilation pressure, you can begin emergency ventilation at once. If the selected ventila-
tion pressure is exceeded, for example, during Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, the device briefly switches over to exhalation and then, during the same inspiratory phase, attempts to deliver an-other ventilated breath. This so-called “double-stroke process“ ensures that the maximum tidal volume possible is provided (re-fer to the diagram on Page A12).
In addition to controlled emergency ventilation, which you can administer with both devices, MEDUMAT Standard a (The “a“ stands for assisted ventilation.) lets you provide your patient with assisted ventilation. This mode allows the patient to trigger a ventilated breath through his own inspiratory effort (refer to the diagram “Assisted ventilation with MEDUMAT Standard a).

Major features of MEDUMAT Standard a and MEDUMAT Standard:
Respiratory minute volume, respiratory rate and maximum ventilation pressure are infinitely adjustable
Color coding for patient groups help user to select correct setting.
Arrow system guides user through settings process.
Visual and acoustic alarms in event of:
Stenosis
Disconnection
Pressure decrease in air supply
Low battery voltage
System failure
Lack of trigger in assisted mode (only in MEDUMAT Standard a)
automatic self-test when device is switched on
Activation of double stroke process when maximum pressure is reached (see diagram “Double stroke process“)
Economical: Air-Mix function reduces Fi02 to about 60%.
No oxygen required for device operation

Let yourself be guided safely and simply through emergency ventilation or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Thanks to the clear and easy-to-understand voice prompts from MEDUMAT Easy CPR and MEDUMAT Easy, you are free to concentrate com-pletely on your patient.
MEDUMAT Easy CPR is ideal for use during Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. In CPR mode the device tells you when you should give chest compressions and ventilations.
The metronome gives the beat to help the user maintain the correct rate (f = 100 / min) of chest compressions. The MEDUtrigger installed on the patient valve lets you decide when the time is right to trigger a breath manually.
Embedded on the proven LIFE-BASE portable system, MEDUMAT Easy CPR and MEDUMAT Easy assist you in putting together a customized ventilation and oxygen therapy system.
Main features of MEDUMAT Easy CPR and MEDUMAT Easy:
visual and acoustic alarms supported by voice prompts
controlled emergency ventilation (IPPV) can be set easily with rotary dial (time-controlled, constant volume)
suitable for mask and tube ventilation; simple change of pressure limit (20 mbar / 45 mbar) made via a switch.

Oxygen from an external source (vehicular system, central gas system) can be fed into MODUL CPAP via the Walther quick coupling on the front of the device.

MODUL CapnoVol Ventilation Monitoring WM 22460
Concentrate completely on emergency ventilation and don‘t waste time on untangling cables at the patient monitor. The MODUL CapnoVol is designed for placement right next to the ventilator, for convenient monitoring of the patient. MODUL CapnoVol displays the expiratory tidal volume and the CO2 con-tent of the exhaled air (capnography) – sure, precise and mean-ingful information.

COMBIBAGResuscitator for adults and children WM 11020
Rely on the versatility of the COMBIBAG (for adults or children). You can vary the air volume simply by turning the COMBIBAG in your hand – you always have the correct-sized resuscitator ready for use. The safety valve prevents excessive ventilation pressure and protects the patient regardless of whether you ventilate via tube or mask.
The two recessed rips in COMBIBAG make it possible to provide small volumes to children and to ventilate adults.
Safety valve with two pressure levels: 20 and 60 mbar
No tools required for maintenance and cleaning
PEEP valve, demand valve or oxygen reservoir can be con-nected for better oxygenation
Single-layer construction makes disinfection easier.

OXYMAND Demand valve
Convince yourself of the dependability of the OXYMAND demand valve. It guarantees a continuous flow of 100% oxygen with low consumption compared to conventional reservoir sys-tems. With a two-liter oxygen cylinder (200 bar), for example, a patient can be supplied with 100% oxygen for an hour while Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is performed. With the right coupling, OXYMAND can be combined for use with the mod-ules Oxygen, Suction, Combi and Interface on the LIFE-BASE carrying system.
For Weinmann silicone bag-valve-mask rescuscitator, COMBIBAG and other resuscitators
With the right coupling OXYMAND can be combined with any MODUL (except MODUL CapnoVol).

Ventilation MasksWith inflatable seal of silicone
Ventilation masks with an inflatable seal are suitable for ven-tilation of patients with MEDUMAT ventilator or resuscitator. Because they fit any face shape, they are sure to be airtight.
Patient Interface / Ventilation MasksMasks have one of the most sensitive interface functions in ven-tilation therapy. As the connection between man and machine, masks provide a way for respiratory air to move from the thera-py device into the patient‘s airways.

CPAP / NIV ventilation masks
Non-invasive ventilation is becoming more important in emer-gency situations. Great demands are placed on the masks. The inflatable silicone seal makes the CPAP/NIV mask very comfor-table to wear while the retaining ring and headgear keep the mask firmly in place. The masks can be used with MEDUMAT Transport, and, with the CPAP-Boussignac valve, with MODUL CPAP too.
