We visited Orsa Finnmark in northeastern

Dalarna, Sweden to take part in a treetop bird

hunt, in order to try out and further develop

our winter camouflage products. Good cam-

ouflage is essential when the black grouse and

wood grouse are at their most vigilant up in the

treetops. Treetop hunting is a traditional form

of hunting forest birds in Sweden. It’s usually

done in the winter once the snow has arrived

and the black as well as the wood grouse have

changed their diet from mainly berry-based to

pine needles and birch buds instead. The most

important equipment is good forest skis and

an accurate, tried-and-tested rifle. The perfect

camouflage is also a must to avoid being seen

when we cautiously ski into the edges of the

snow covered marshes. But above all, it’s about

having the right attitude and not giving up

when it gets tough and our test staff certainly

didn’t give up!

HUNTING WILD BOAR

Safety first, for both you and your four legged colleague. In this area of wild boar hunting garments we have developed products with high demands on quality and safety features where protec-tion against both weather and animal is of importance.

The wild boar trousers are lined with a layer of Kevlar® around the legs, up in the branch and also the entire outside of the legs to protect you from wild boar attacks. Our certified dog vest is stab and cut-resistant with very good protective properties thanks to the PPSS X-Fibre used in, e.g. bulletproof vests as well as personal protection equipment for military and police.
