We’ve had a whirlwind of a year so far, presenting our Mindshift professional days in Listowel, Belfast, Cork and look out for us in Wicklow soon, all supported by Words Ireland. An exciting development is that an old favourite has a new handle: the Greenbean Novel Fair. We’ve teamed up with Greenbean Coffee Roasters as title sponsor, and the Irish Times as media partner, and can’t wait to serve you Greenbean coffee the next time you are in the Centre! The selection of courses we are offering this autumn is exceptionally note-worthy. As well as our usual range of fiction courses, we’re focusing on writing for radio and TV, a poetry masterclass series with leading poets, an intimate memoir course led by Manchán Magan, a fiction workshop for teens with Deirdre O'Sullivan and, for the adventurous, Barry Keating’s horror fiction day. Professional development abounds with a Mindshift event as Gaeilge, spe-cifically tailored to the needs of Irish language writers and publishers. A must for writers and arts managers is the Managing Creativity Seminar Series where guest experts reveal their top tips. A big thank you to our new Professional Members for signing up. The benefits are many, as the seven Professional Members who are taking part in our Cill Rialaig residencies will attest. As ever, please forage for your writerly needs on our website and, if you like what you see, then we’d love to welcome you as a new member.
