Aims
Bring together leading players in Australia and the UK to promote;
• An understanding of the regulatory reforms and changes that have led to the renaissance of infrastructure development in the UK
• Further development of policies and processes to support the ongoing pipeline of projects in Australia
• Widen the understanding and adoption of best practice
Overview
• Prior to the UK mission, for Australian based delegates, a workshop on aims, objectives and program content, with the Hon Andrew
Robb, Minister for Trade and Investment.
• Participants in the programme will be limited to senior business leaders and financiers from Australia and the UK including
infrastructure experts, government representatives, and major project leaders, by invitation only.
We wish to explore your involvement in this initiative and welcome the opportunity to discuss participation in all aspects of the mission
with you and your colleagues.

• Engage ownership and investment communities in a focused manner in both countries
• Harness and aggregate key insights to deliver best practice as standard
• Promote opportunities for resources and expertise in the infrastructure sector to be optimised more efficiently, from concept to sustainable

• Promote the opportunity to collaborate and drive investment, innovation in infrastructure, technology and related services
• Lower the barriers to doing business between the two countries in these key sectors
• Promote the creation of a transferable platform for infrastructure development, a staging post for the development of the B20/G20

• Reinforce the common interest in a stable and prosperous bilateral relationship
• Encourage the formation of stronger multilateral relationships through collaboration opportunities in Australia, UK and potentially Western
Europe and the Asia Pacific Region.

The address will focus on infrastructure. • 02 09 2015 – Workshop with delegates to finalise objectives, content and participants – includes a briefing and discussion with The Hon
Andrew Robb, Minister for Trade and Investment at PwC in Sydney
Plenary Sessions:• Overview of the infrastructure opportunities and pipelines in each country• Latest thinking on collaborative funding models between governments and the private sector• Sources of funds – what is changing• Implications of recent political outcomes on funding of infrastructure projects and acceptability of funding options moving forward• Key issues to be resolved to ensure success.
Breakout Sessions:• Particular infrastructure programs by type - energy, rail, roads, water, airports, ports, urban renewal - to be finalised according to participants
and interest levels• Geographic opportunity areas• Individual projects
Final program design is anticipated to provide the opportunity for pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings among senior attendees.
