1. Scott Alden
Scott is the vice president of the ALCC. Scott is a right handed batsman. This is his third LCWC, having played the two tournaments in India.
2. Christopher Brohier
Christopher is an off spin bowler and. Lower order bat. This is his first LCWC.
Christopher is a member of the South Australian Bar. He practises in commercial civil property wills and estates and human rights law.
3. Anthony Crocker
Anthony is a Council member of the ALCC. This is his second LCWC, having played in Cambridge. He is a bowling all‐rounder, who still is playing for ‘The Legends’ at Adelaide University.
Anthony is a member of the South Australian Bar. He has a trial and appellant practice in both civil and criminal matters. He is a Code of Behaviour Commissioner for Cricket Australia and a Commissioner for the South Australian Cricket Association. He is the Facilitator for the Sports Law Conference at this year’s tournament.
4. Darren Culbard
Darren is a right arm swing bowler and right handed middle order batsman. He plays in the Middlesex League in London as well as for the MCC in its out‐matches. This is his second LCWC having played in Delhi.
Darren works an in‐house lawyer at the London based EMEA headquarters of the Japanese multinational, Ricoh. Main areas of work include global customer/ supply contracts, outsourcing and IT contracts and supply chain matters.
5. Andrew Davey
Andrew is a right arm medium pace/legspin bowler and a right hand lower order blocker. He has played a lot of cricket over the years with Andrew Ryan. They run well between the wickets together. This is his first LCWC.
Andrew is a Senior Associate and patent attorney at Griffith Hack, specialising in Intellectual Property Law.
6. Andrew Forbes
Andrew is a right handed top order batsman and right arm seam bowler. This is his third LCWC having played in Barbados and earlier Cambridge where he was awarded the honour of “the world’s greatest lawyer cricketer.”
Andrew is the Office Managing Partner in the Brisbane office of Lander & Rogers. He specialises in regulatory law and commercial litigation.
7. Troy Flaherty
Troy is a right handed top order batsman, a right arm medium pace bowler and occasional wicketkeeper. This is his fourth LCWC.
Troy is an Associate at Sydney‐based firm Wilshire Webb Staunton Beattie Lawyers. Troy specialises in planning and local government practice primarily representing local councils.
8. Lachlan Gyles SC
Lachlan is a left handed batsman and a leg spin bowler. This is his second LCWC having played in Delhi.
Lachlan is a barrister working in Sydney. Lachlan took silk in 2008, and works primarily in commercial/equity and insurance cases, as well as having an interest in sports law.
9. Ron Heinrich AM
Ron is a left handed lower order batsman and a wily right arm slow bowler. He is the senior member of the team and was one of the driving forces behind establishing the first LCWC in India, as the then President of the Commonwealth Lawyers’ Association (CLA). Ron has played in all 4 previous LCWCs.
Ron is a Senior Consultant, and former Senior Partner, at TressCox Lawyers in Sydney. Ron was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) on Australia Day 2013 for ‘significant service to the law, and the legal profession’.
10. Michael Holohan
Michael is a middle order right hand batsman and right arm medium bowler. This is his first LCWC.
Michael is a barrister in private practice at the Queensland Bar. He is the holder of a Masters of Law, Masters of Science (Forensic Science) and Bachelor of Science (Human Physiology and Biochemistry). He specialises in insurance, consumer and medico legal law. He also specialises in forensic/expert evidence and laboratory analysis and accreditation (including criminalistics, drug testing and other chemical analysis).
11. Mark Johnston
Mark is a left handed opening batsman. A former Country Colts representative and Illawarra captain, Mark is playing in his second LCWC, having played in Delhi.
Mark works as a solicitor in his own firm Johnston Legal. He is an accredited specialist in personal injury law and a casual tutor at the University of Wollongong’s law faculty.
12. Dane Jones
Dane is a right handed top order batsman. This is his first LCWC.
Dane is a barrister working in Brisbane. Dane works in commercial and corporate matters as well as in the planning and environment sphere.
13. Jason Keane
JK is an ungovernable right‐arm fast‐medium swing bowler who has played grade cricket for the North Sydney Club for many years, taking over 300 grade wickets. This is his second World Cup, having made the trip to India in 2013 where he took 11 wickets and formed a demanding new‐ball partnership for the People’s Team with Tim Wheller, and generally had the best two weeks of his life. He is very much looking forward to renewing old friendships and having a few laughs on and off the field.
Away from the cricket field, Jason is an Accredited Specialist Criminal Lawyer at Prime Lawyers in Sydney.
14. Michael Maher
Michael is an opening/top order batsman and right arm off spin bowler. This is his second LCWC having played in Delhi.
Michael is a Solicitor with the NSW Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions practising criminal law and is based in Dubbo.
15. Daniel Maroske
Daniel is a right handed batsman and a left arm fast bowler. He hit the winning runs in the 2nd LCWC final at The Oval in 2009. This is his fourth LCWC.
Having returned home to Brisbane after 5 years in London working in financial services regulation and litigation, Daniel is now the Deputy Official Solicitor at Queensland’s Crime and Corruption Commission where he practices in criminal, civil and administrative law.
16. Alex Martin
Alex is the President of the ALCC. Alex is a wicket‐keeper and left handed opening batsman. This is his fourth LCWC.
Alex Martin is the principal of Martin Legal in Sydney. Martin Legal owns go go conveyancing, which is one of Australia’s sponsors. go go conveyancing specialises in real estate transactions.
17. Gareth McCasker
Gareth plays for Western Suburbs in Brisbane. He is a right‐handed batsman, wicket keeper and talented net bowler. This is his first LCWC.
Gareth is an Associate with Slater + Gordon and works in project and commercial litigation.
18. Tony Pick
Tony is a right hand batsman and right arm medium pace bowler. He played junior cricket for Kensington District CC in Adelaide and grade cricket in Canberra and Melbourne while studying / working. This is his first LCWC.
Tony is a Senior Associate in the Human Resources and Industrial Relations practice group in Minter Ellison's Melbourne office.
19. Dominic Pius
Dom is a wristy middle‐order batsman. He has been the President of his local club Bulleen Templestowe for the last three Seasons. This is his first LCWC.
Dom is an Associate in the Construction team at Gadens in Melbourne.
20. Karl Prince
Karl is a left arm off spin bowler and left handed batsman. He captained the victorious Australian team at LCWC2, however has been replaced as skipper after an unsuccessful 2013 campaign.
Karl practises exclusively in the field of criminal law and conducts jury trials for the NSW Director of Public Prosecutions.
21. Murray Procter
Murray is a right handed middle order batsman and a right arm leg spin bowler. This is his fourth LCWC.

Sebastian (Seb) is a left handed top order batsman. Seb won the ‘batsman of the tournament’ award at the 2nd LCWC after scoring two centuries and this is his 4th LCWC.

Stewart is a right handed batsman and occasional right arm off‐spin bowler. He is a better player than Lachlan Gyles. This is his second LCWC having played in Delhi.

Greg is a right handed batsman and right arm fast bowler. Greg played first class cricket for Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania and Australia A. This is his third LCWC.

25. Andrew Ryan
Andrew is a right handed top order batsman and a right arm medium‐fast bowler. In recent years, he has focussed his energies towards coaching youngsters in Kenya with the charity Cricket Without Boundaries. This is his second LCWC having played in Delhi.

Right Hand Middle Order Batsman and Wicketkeeper. This is his first LCWC.

Muddasir is a right hand top order batsman and a right arm off spin bowler. He was the driving force behind ensuring participation of lawyers from Bangladesh in the LCWC for the first time. This is his first LCWC.

Chambers: Artesian Law James Cartwright was doing a doctorate in law at Paris University when he was called to the Bar in 1968. He worked briefly in a law firm in Canada before joining a busy chambers in 1970. Since then he has been engaged in civil litigation as well as turning more and more to criminal work. With 45 years’ experience he has conducted very nearly every type of criminal case in courts all over England and Wales, prosecuting and defending. He has led in murder cases and has appeared in Courts Martial as well as the civil courts and a variety of tribunals.

Jonathan is a batting all‐rounder who has the honour of leading the English Solicitors in their second world cup. Although New Zealand born, he has played for Australia in the Cambridge, Barbados and Delhi editions of the cup. He hopes to draw on his LCWC experience to lead what he regards as the most talented English team to participate at a LCWC on foreign soil.
Having obtained his LLB from the University of Queensland, Jonathan qualified as a solicitor in Australia before moving to the UK in 2010 to pursue a career in the City. He is currently a Senior Associate in Allen & Overy LLP’s London Banking department where he specialises in retail financial services with a focus on consumer finance regulation and FinTech.
2. Ranamit Banerjee
Ron is a frontline left arm orthodox bowler who deploys flight, drift and spin in equal measure to collect many a victim, particularly in the T20 version of the game where he has excelled from the Freshfields Angels in the annual Magic Circle T20 tournament. He attempts to bat when absolutely necessary, with a bit of Ganguly about him.

4. Matthew Drew
A former wicket‐keeper turned jack all trades and master of none. Matt last played league cricket for North Middlesex in London’s Middlesex League, but more recently his cricket has revolved around jazzy MCC matches with good lunches. Hopefully a return to the fiery competition of the LCWC for the first time since 2009 will shake off the rust.
Matthew trained and qualified into the Corporate team at Hogan Lovells, before transitioning into sports law and embarking on an in‐house career at sports data provider Opta Sports. He now heads the Integrity and Security team at Perform Group, a leading supplier of data and content to the betting market. Accordingly he will be keeping a close eye on the number of front foot no balls bowled during the tournament.
5. Richard Evans
Richard is a right‐handed batsman who scored his first century at the age of 12 for Dulwich College. He plays regularly for the Victoria Dolphins in the Southern California league and enjoys touring with Hollywood Golden Oldies CC. He remains hopeful of scoring a second century.
After working for several years as a solicitor in London, Richard moved to White & Case LLP in Los Angeles in 2010 where he is a dual‐qualified attorney acting for major aircraft leasing companies.

1. Justice Muhammad Farrukh Irfan Khan
Justice Muhammad Farrukh Irfan Khan, a senior judge of the Lahore High Court, has been a patron of the Pakistan Lawyers’ Cricket Team since the inaugural LCWC of 2007. His keen interest in cricket is evidenced by his presence in the three LCWCs held in Hyderabad, Cambridge and New Delhi. Even after his elevation, he has not lost his passion for playing cricket and has organized a team of the Lahore High Court’s judges who play a couple of matches every year. He plans to hold consultations in Brisbane with like‐minded judges to initiate the holding of a Judges’ World Cup. He has also threatened rather promised to play in the LCWC V in case the team does not perform up to his expectations.
2. Hamid Khan
Hamid Khan is a Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.He is a former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan as well as that of the Lahore High Court Bar Association. He has also been the Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Bar Council. Currently, he is the President of the Pakistan Lawyers Cricket Association (PLCA). No longer playing cricket, he distinguished himself in 1988 when he took three wickets in the Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, where the great Australian, Dennis Lillee, had gone wicket less a few months earlier.

Tariq Mehmood is a genuine all‐rounder who has played in all the LCWCs. A player to be taken seriously by his opponents, he was the man of the match in the international against West Indies in the inaugural World Cup in India.
