Bachelor degree students

any other semester can be substituted by choosing equivalent courses at a
partner university
Master degree students
there is no scheduled semester in your study programme to go abroad, but you
can substitute courses with equivalents at a partner university
- final theses can also be written abroad

What is Erasmus+?EU program - Erasmus+ aims to promote lifelong learning, enable sustainable growth, strengthen
social cohesion and European identity, and drive innovation. In particular, people should be given the
opportunity to participate regardless of their social background or any existing barriers to mobility.
− studies at partner universities or internships abroad
− a maximum of 12 month can be funded per study cycle (Bachelor und Master)
− study abroad: minimum 90 days | internship abroad: minimum 60 days
− monthly rates variie depending on destination countries (2021/2022)
study abroad: 330 – 450 Euros | internship: 435 – 555 Euros
− internship can be voluntary or mandatory, payed or unpayed
− combinable with Auslands-BAföG
− payout: 70% after arrival, 30% after return

What is PROMOS?The goals of the program are to support the university's own internationalization strategy and to
increase the mobility of students and doctoral candidates from German universities worldwide
PROMOS funds eligible for studies and internship abroad, for study or competition trips worldwide
− Host university does not have to be a partner university
− PROMOS funding possible in Europe, if funding with Erasmus+ is excluded
Deadlines for application: every 2 month, next 30.04./ 30.06.20 etc.
Study abroad
― duration between 3 and 6 months
― monthly rates between 300-500 Euros, depending on destination country
Internship abroad
― duration between 60 days and 6 months
― monthly rates between 300 and 500 Euros, depending on destination country

How to choose the right partner university?
Please have a look at the SRH homepage: Partner universities or Study abroad options https://www.srh-berlin.de/hochschule/services-einrichtungen/international-office/auslandsstudium/
Take the time to research partner universities in depth
• your study cycle (Bachelor/Master) and your field of study (Business,
Communication, etc.)
• are sufficient modules offered in a language for which you have a sufficient
language level
• check if semester dates overlap with those at SRH Berlin (especially in the summer
semester)
• list your top 3 partner universities in the application form

Selection & nomination

− selected students will receive a confirmation email
from the International Office
− as soon as you accept the proposed place, we
nominate you at the partner university
− the partner university or the IO will send you all the
necessary information to apply to the partner
university
− the partner university must confirm the place
Selection of courses
− draft a Learning Agreement (LA)
− course lists can be found on the websites of the partner universities or are provided by the
partners
− create a list of possible modules and discuss it with your program director
− both sign the Learning Agreement (program director + student)
− send the signed Learning Agreement to the partner university and have it reviewed and signed
− if changes are necessary, discuss again with your program director and have the Learning
Agreement reconfirmed
− inform your examination office about your plans to go abroad and about your course
selection!

Financial commitments
• Tuition fees at SRH Berlin, if ECTS are to be recognized
• Living expenses, travel expenses, insurance, visa fees, books, etc.
• Additional fees in special programs at partner institutions (e.g. summer schools)

Don´t forget!
If you have been accepted at the partner institution:
• Fill out the Learning Agreement and get it signed!
• Apply for a visa if necessary, it can take a lot of time!
• Take out sufficient insurance cover (health, accident, liability insurance)!
• Find accommodation! - usually you get support from the partner institution
• Plan your trip!

Covid-19- EU Commission leaves it up to universities to decide whether or not to fund students
in risk areas
- PROMOS does not provide funding in risk areas
- SRH Berlin - Risk lies with students - personal responsibility
- sufficient insurance coverage must be guaranteed
