complete coverage of the national political conventions, PBS, NPR, and Prairie Public are going to even greater lengths to give us a first-hand look at the 2012 party conventions.

On television, political journalists Judy Woodruff and Gwen Ifill (pictured) will co-anchor gavel-to-gavel broadcast coverage at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida (August 27–30), and from the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina (September 4–5), as well as the Bank of America Stadium (September 6). Television’s special broadcast coverage will begin at 7:00 p.m. (CT) each night of the conventions and continue LIVE until the conclusion of the proceedings at approximately 10:00 p.m. (CT).

On radio, Prairie Public’s news team and NPR will report daily during news programming about all the proceedings. Radio’s emphasis on exploring issues in-depth and connecting with real voters extends to npr.org where the coverage and analysis continues around the clock.
