Playford Country Music Club is cancelling our August Club Show due on the 16th of August

President’s Report G'Day Members & Friends,

Hi Folks I hope you are all keeping well. As you are well aware we are not having any club shows until further notice. These decisions are out of our control, but we need to stick by them for the health of everyone. For any information on coming events check with the Ian Fisk Gig Guide as Ian keeps this up to date with any changes. I would like to thank KFC for their support during the lock down. They have stayed with us, and Leanne from KFC has picked the Members number for the voucher. Club Memberships are on hold at the moment, but when we return we will look forward to you renewing your membership. Some changes will be happening with membership numbering, go-ing back to the early 2000 years we had memberships numbers going up into the 300 numbers. We are rearranging our membership numbers to save on printing one or two names on one page. We will be filling in the gaps to condense our paperwork. So until our next show when ever that may be take care and we will see you soon.

Our AGM was to happen in August but as we are uncertain of when we are to get back we have post-poned it until October 18th hopefully we will be back and running. I have enclosed a Nomination Form if you would like to nominate some one, or even yourself.

Just A Word From The Secretary

What a very different year this has been. Some of us have never been through this type of thing before. Hope every one has been keeping safe. We are glad to be living in South Aus-tralia, please keep it safe. I do feel for those who are affected by COVID-19. Keith and I are like many thousands of other people who could not travel to other states in Australia, due to cancellations. We are sorry we had to cancel the Coach Trip to Graeme Hugo Show at Sunnyvale in July 2020. The Committee will have to discuss if we are to do one next year. Playford Country Music Club is still unsure when we are allowed to open our doors. This will depend totally on the Government and the City of Playford as to when we can use the hall. At this moment, the rule is no dancing and 2 metres square apart. Spreading tables out and using the dance floor to put people in is still not enough room and not enough people to cover our costs. Our Clubs should not be expected to run at a loss. As soon as we are able to open , you will know. It will be good to see everyone again. I know memberships,are due and you are wanting to renew. Keith has already put in his report about the memberships, and the AGM. All I can say now is I hope this virus goes away as soon as our warmer season comes, to clear the air. Expressions of Interest

Hi Folks, It has been suggested we try and put a show together on

20th September with a band, and have seating only, as we are not allowed to dance.

Social distancing still applies.

Bookings would have to be made for seats, as we would be restricted to numbers coming in. Normal entry fees would apply. We would still have meals, drinks, raffles and lucky squares.

We would need to know by the end of August to put plans in place to make it work but this will only go ahead if there are no more

restrictions put in place by the State Government, and we get good numbers. If this does go ahead, we will also run our Open Mic on

19th Saturday as well.
