The Intramural Meet of the Marinduque State College gets nearer and
everyone is busy preparing for it.
A week ago, the School of Arts and Sciences (Nexus) had a meeting
to talk about the plans for the upcoming events — the t-shirt, logo, uniforms
as well as food for the players and the students. Players, faculty consultants
for each event led and motivated their members. The try-outs were conducted
for three-consecutive Saturdays before the Midterm Examination.
The School of Arts & Sciences (Boac) combines with the School of
Arts and Sciences ( Sta. Cruz).
Everyone hopes that this
team-up will work out for the
welfare of students of both cam-
puses.

sometimes it’s a matter of reading
beyond the lines.

College Olympics is
here, the most awaited event of
the school year, why? Certainly
because it is the time where
students can enjoy their life
under the sun.
Looking everywhere,
the essence of the Olympics is
widely diffused in the air. Eve-
ryone is with different expecta-
tion of what the Olympics might
bring. Everyone plays an essen-
tial part whether a student, a
coach, a writer, a player or
whatever. The main concern
is, without co-
operation and unity,
2 Proud!

Dahan-dahan na-man! Masama yun!)
Mr. and Ms. PERFECTionist
Sino ba sila? Sila yung tipong magaganda at gwapo.
Proud King & Queen
Time to Strengthen Unity
the Olympics will not be a suc-
cess.
Apparently, we have
come from a long way; prepar-
ing and organizing this event.
Now is the time to strengthen
sportsmanship in every competi-
tor and unity among us support-
ers. Time to show up! Time to
put our best foot forward. Time
to heed our roles and share what-
ever we have, to take part in eve-
ry task; those times spent on nev-
er ending practices were now
just a mere part of sports experi-
ences.. It is about time to unveil
and witness the output of this
event.

Who would have thought that
this man could manage everything with
only limited time? Aside from his hec-
tic schedule as the unit manager of the

finds time to fulfill his family obliga-
tions.
Everyone could easily recog-
nize him for he is tall, dark and hand-
some; man who always wear a cap,
that‘s he, Mr. Eric Maglacas a college
lecturer.
His dedication to his job gives the students a light of
hope that whatever happens, we are united as one. The posi-
tiveness, willingness, and never ending support he gives to
everyone make them feel a winner already. ―We may not win
in all the events, but what matters is we do our best and we
show we can stand as one.‖ he said.

Food Corner, Food Trip!
By: Queenelyn Malagotnot

NETWORK NEXUS page 4
―Food is the best comforter of our stomach‖.
We usually hear this to those people who loved to eat.
The sound of hot boiling oils and the deli-
cious smell of fresh cooked banana, patties, hot dogs, French
fries, siomai and siopao spread into the air. Students who are
standing, sitting and waiting for their turn to buy food while
having conversation with their friends or classmates, the
coming in and going out of the students are usual scene in the
food corner beside the SICS building.
This food corner starts to operate this school
year 2012-2013 that complete of seven stall and serves an
affordable food. Students from the nearest department such as
SAS, SICS and SIT can buy their meal or snack here. A quar-
ter number of students can accommodate by the place com-
pare to the canteens that can be found inside the college.
Some faculty member from the nearest department are also
fond of buying and eating food here. The owner of each stall
is nice and very approachable in every way, no wonder why
all of us are fond of coming back to buy foods.
Some of the students devour and enjoy their food
while it is still warm, but not too hot, together with the
juice under the tree in food corner. It is quite relaxing
here while eating and having conversation. The place is
not too noisy that you have to shout to hear you but even
a whisper can be heard by the person besides you.
Delicious food and aroma, affordable snacks and
meal, and nearest place to by food? It is all in one in the
MSC-food corner!
The World’s Greatest Paper By: Rogelyn De la Cruz
Who will know that they exist here?
Hurrah! Let‘s toast and have a beer
But do we need to celebrate?
Coz you‘ll just puke if they are enumera-
ble.
Huh! Just look the way they walk
Even the way they talk
Guess what a great paper they are
I just wish they could get far.
Witness the roles that they portray,
Oh! Sure they are the best actors in their
play.
Now, listen to the way talk,
Wow! The best actress in catwalk.
Do they really have the intelligence?
Or just that they want to make face?
Yeah, they are great, their roles are erasa-
ble,
To every event they are available.
What a great paper they were
You can find them everywhere
But as you read this poem in newspaper
Have you considered yourself as the
World‘s Greatest Paper?
It Will Never be the Distance By: Rogelyn De la Cruz
We‘ve been together for more than a year
Encountered laughter, sorrow and fear
And it just makes us even stronger,
But now distance makes our love fonder.
We are now in our separate ways,
Our rings remind that our love stays.
Texting and calling each other is our assur-
ance
That it will never be the distance.
Kilometers, meters, hours, minutes and
seconds
How I wish that it‘s just as easy as eating
almonds.
The distance that separate us,
I know deep in my heart it will never be a
hindrance.
Well, it is better this way
Our trust will test in a fair way
Even the love that we treasure
Time and space can never measure
.Now, my love please be assured
Just hold my hand to be sure.
There will be a label in this twirl romance
It will never be the distance.
Survive
By Angelica Orilla
Not all the time life is bad
When we stumble and fall
We must learn to stand and struggle
And show the world we can
Saying goodbye to cruel world is a defeat
Instead say hello and learn to hold on
Cause life is unpredictable journey
And only god knows where it leads
Smile and be happy
The greatest sword to survive
Friends are there to stay with us all the while
Let go of your doubts and have no regrets
Life is full of memory
Like a song with soft melody
We can feel the harmony
That sees how life was meant to be
Keep holding on
For we are loved
Real world is a beautiful battlefield
Where you have to SURVIVE!!
