Your energyaudit checklist.

Page 2: audit Your energy

We’ve devised this handy checklist to help you identify the areas where your businessis consuming energy and prioritise opportunities to reduce your usage. In some cases, things can be rectified simply by communicating with employees and altering the wayyou usually do things. Others may require the repair or replacement of certain items, while brand new equipment might have to be installed.

The checklist includes each of the main elements that comprise a full energy audit. Eachelement may not apply to all organisations. You can choose which sections of thistemplate to complete based on the unique requirements of your business.

Be sure to wear the appropriate safety equipment and protective clothing, and followany safety procedures and methods currently in place. Contact an expert if needed, andensure you have carried out a thorough risk assessment before you start.

If you've taken the decision to carry out an energy audit, you'll need to be able to understand how your energy iscurrently being used.
