In Recognition of National Library Week,

Food for Fines returns to the Auburn Hills

Public Library April 13-18, 2015

Your favorite win-win program is coming back this month!

If you’ve got overdue library materials at home, now is the time to

round them up. During Food for Fines Week (Monday, April 13 through

Saturday, April 18), you can make your fines disappear and help stock

the shelves of our local food pantries at the same time.

Here’s how it works:

Bring non-expired, non-perishable food items to donate at the

Auburn Hills Public Library.

For each food item you donate, $1.00 of your library fines for

overdue items will be forgiven (limit of $20.00 per library

card).

Fines can only be forgiven on overdue materials that have been

returned, so make sure you’ve looked under the bed first! You can

also log in to your online library account or ask at the Check Out

desk if you’re not sure which materials you currently have checked

out or whether you have a fine.

Sorry, but Food for Fines credit cannot be applied toward fees for

items that have been lost or damaged.

All donations collected during Food for Fines Week will be

distributed to local food pantries.
