    PREFACE TO SECOND EDITION

The first edition was very basic and unplanned as to number, quality, and arrangement of figures. In this

edition I have tried to add many new images with good quality. The images with poor quality are removed

from the atlas. The current edition is still not arranged in categories as suggested by Professor Jamshed

Akhtar, but as the contributions from various sources increase then this would be done in the future editions

Once the atlas gain a mass of many hundred pictures then a print version would be published. I hope the

readers from various pediatric surgical units will contribute for this atlas.

    Regards

    PREFACE TO FIRST EDITION

It gave me an immense pleasure to edit the first edition of this atlas. This was an effort from my side to

contribute in the development of pediatric surgery in this country. It took a period of more than a year to

accomplish the job, from conceiving the idea to the publishing of the first edition. I requested many peers of

the field to contribute in this edition. I am very thankful of them for their considerations for me and the atlas.

This edition is published online. The print version will be considered when it gathers a remarkable mass. It

contains many new images and some best images from the previous pool, published in the gallery section of

    the website www.babysurgeon.com.

I request all the pediatric surgeons and residents to send the high quality images for the second edition of the

atlas. Once again thank you very much for your cooperation.

    Regards

The acknowledgement is not complete without mentioning about Dr. Yousuf Aziz Khan, who always

supported me and provided good quality images for the Atlas. I am also grateful to my family for their

unforgettable support in this regard. Many thanks to all the staff of department of pediatric surgery of my
