So when I was invited to attend a Michael Bublé concert on Labour Day weekend there I was over the moon. Try as I could to discover everything this goliath resort had to offer in four days, (2,317 rooms on 171 acres) it was not enough time, yet it was a good introduction to some of its most some stellar pastimes. Here are a few of them. I love my white sand and clear, aqua waters, and Atlantis doesn’t disappoint. And even though the resort was almost at capacity, there was still plenty of prime beachfront real estate where you need not elbow others for lounge rights. And with plenty of choices from high end to casual, the dining situation doesn’t disappoint either. Not to be missed are their signature gourmet chef-inspired spots. Chef Bobby Flay has combined his signature Southwestern flavours with a Caribbean twist at Mesa Grill, while Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s restaurant serves up inspired Asian. And Olives is the latest incarnation of renowned Chef Todd English, featuring Mediterranean cuisine. For activities, take your pick of thrills and spills in Aquaventure – the largest water park in the Caribbean, or high stakes gambling in the Caribbean’s largest casino. And I really enjoyed touring e Dig – the world’s largest open air marine habitat. You can even snorkel in it! And meeting dolphins and sea lions at Dolphin Cove was also a treat. (I recommend a behind-the-scenes tour.) en there’s uber- upscale shopping, the most comprehensive kid’s club I’ve ever seen, movie theatres, live entertainment venues, and a spa. You really need at least a week there. I vowed to return. And if I win the lottery, I’ll stay at their famous Royal Towers Bridge Suite at $25,000 a night!
