Balinese Guru Made Sumantra Introduces The Healer Project, Bringing Healing from Island to Island as Part of the Mandara Spa Brand’s 20th Anniversary

PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – September 14, 2016 – As the Mandara Spa brand celebrates 20 years in the health, beauty and wellness industry this year, its Bahamas flagship at the award-winning Atlantis in Paradise Island marks its own milestone as the longest running spa operator and management brand on the island.

“We are happy to celebrate 15 years with Mandara Spa, as it is as one of the many luxury offerings of The Cove,” said Cristian Sariego, senior vice president and general manager of The Cove Atlantis and The Reef Atlantis resorts in The Bahamas. “We strive to offer our guests the best experiences and Mandara delivers on this excellence. We congratulate Mandara on their success and look forward to the future.”

For the past 15 years, Mandara Spa at Atlantis has been synonymous with success. Home to nearly 200 staff, winner of numerous key industry awards, and an integral part of the resort’s luxury experience, this 32,000 square foot spa is a catalyst for the business of wellness in the Caribbean.

“Our business is to treat guests so exquisitely they forget about their own business,” said Youlanda Deveaux, regional vice president of the Caribbean and Central America, Mandara Spa. “A decade and a half later, Mandara Spa continues to grow its name on the island as an innovative spa brand and company with a unique and unparalleled depth of knowledge rooted in the Balinese tradition of healing touches; superior service standards; and advanced skincare products, treatments and technology.”

THE BUSINESS OF BEAUTY AND RELAXATIONPerforming an estimated 600,000 spa treatments in 15 years, Mandara Spa has elevated the wellness experience in the Bahamas. From the spa esthetics to the aesthetics and massage departments, the look and feel of the spa marries the caliber service for a world-class experience.

To achieve a luxury spa experience in a competitive market, Mandara Spa believes the execution of services is as equally, if not more so, important as the ambiance. As such, the spa vets each therapist to ensure they meet credentials, including high-end hotel or spa experi-ence, education and certification, licensing, as well as knowledge of anatomy and home care. Many of the therapists are graduates from Florida School of Natural Health or accredited schools for massage and aesthetics.

"Our goal is to continuously provide the highest standards for our guests. This includes that every therapist understands the body – every skin type, every muscle – and can communicate the therapies and home care effectively, so our guests can continue their regimens at home," said Deveaux.

ABOUT ENERGY HEALINGEnergy Healing is a technique based on the overall structure of the human body. Our body is composed of two parts: the visible physical body and the invisible energy body called the bioplasmic body or aura. Our aura is the invisible luminous energy body, which penetrates the visible physical body and extends beyond it. Energy Healing utilizes prana or life energy and the chakras (energy centers) to heal ailing energy levels. The healing process involves manipula-tion of the chakras, bio energy, and aura.

ABOUT YOGA HEALINGExperience the wonders of Markandeya Yoga, a system of healing Yoga created by Guru Made Sumantra to expedite thebody’s healing process. This technique is important for the energy, flowing, moving and balancing of the mind andbody. In a short time, people can feel the energy working internally.
