Our sports programs range from elite level to casual, offering an opportunity to stay active while attending school. Our varsity programming produces national champions in team and individual disciplines. Queen’s also has an abundance of recreational and intramural sport programs, allowing everyone to enjoy the game. Don’t forget about the wealth of casual fitness opportunities within the state-of-the art Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC). The ARC, located in the heart of campus, features leading-edge equipment and premium amenities. The ARC offers a comprehensive range of fitness opportunities: 24,500 square feet of cardio and strength zones a wide array of aquatic programming in Kingston’s largest pool gymnasiums available for recreational use and casual rental dance studios fitted with the latest audio equipment the largest indoor racquet facility in the Kingston area combative rooms and equipment premium amenities such as locker and laundry services, equipment services, Athletic & Massage Therapy Services and more ATHLETICS AND RECREATION CENTRE Fielding varsity teams and clubs from Basketball to Water Polo, Queen’s is a perennial contender for Ontario University Athletics (OUA) league titles and championships. Queen’s consistently ranks in the top three Canadian Universities who produce the highest number of CIS Academic All-Canadians and OUA Academic All-Stars. Our student-athletes graduate on the path toward professional excellence due to enriching experiences from both education and sport. OPEN TRYOUTS? CONTACT A COACHOpen tryouts for all interuniversity teams occur prior to the competition schedule commencing. Remember to contact a coach well in advance, because some fall sports train and compete prior to the start of classes. If you are interested in trying out for any team please contact the head coach or visit www.gogaelsgo.com for a calendar of tryout dates.

Recreation at Queen’s has the distinction of being one of a few services on campus which appeals to all students, staff and faculty. Queen’s off ers a variety of programs in the following areas: aquatics, camps, casual recreation, clubs, fi tness and wellness programs and intramurals.

AQUATICS, FITNESS AND WELLNESSQueen’s off ers over 60 fi tness classes a week, off ering you a variety of opportunities to participate in yoga, pilates, salsa dancing, personal training and many others.

The pool is always a great place to fi nd students, staff , faculty and families enjoying the many swimming classes or an open swim as well as taking part in Red Cross swimming lessons.

INTRAMURALSOver 6,800 Queen’s students participate in 30 sports leagues – that’s one third of the student population. Stay in shape, enjoy your favorite sport and meet new people. Queen’s annual BEWIC Sports Days weekend attracts 32 teams and over 1,110 students each year.
