Lingerwood Energy System Owned and managed by the Lingerwood Community Association (the residents) Energy Grid Each Lingerwood home is fitted with high quality solar panels and inverter system from a tier 1 supplier. All these systems will be interconnected and controlled utilising the latest technology. Each Lingerwood home is both independent and inter-connected. With 9.6kW of solar panels on each roof, individual households have ample capacity to fill their energy needs, with excess energy filling the community batteries; and when the batteries are full, the energy overflow being sold to the grid. In times of need, each household can draw from the community batteries. The Community will always be powered, either directly from each home’s solar panels, or drawing from the community batteries, or from the grid in inclement weather when solar panel and community battery capacities are low. To the power of 10! The combined bargaining power for the Community with its chosen energy retailer to negotiate buy and sell prices for power. Excess power is sold back to the grid - this income going into the Lingerwood Community Association fund for maintenance of the infrastructure and other community assets. Lingerwood energy system can draw from the grid if required in extreme weather conditions. NBN provides smart home capabilities including the ability to optimise your household appliances with smart connectivity such as lighting, media, security, air conditioning and pool pumps.
