Who We Are

• The fifth largest rehabilitation provider in the nation, the Institute provides a continuum of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and community services for people with short- and long-term conditions, injuries and disabilities in communities throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

What is Assistive Technology

Assistive technology is all around us. We all use it on a daily basis. It is anything which makes our job and daily living easier or more productive. To illustrate, think of a pencil. The pencil and paper work as a memory aid. You write out a note so you won’t forget something important.

Sister Kenny

Abbott Northwestern--Sister Kenny is a hospital-based rehabilitation unit specializing in serving individuals with various disabilities. It is a multi-disciplinary service with most therapies that can be transferred to the Golden Valley Rehabilitation Program.
