ASTA’s Global Convention is the annual trade event of a large coalition of travel enterprises. As such, this is an event which requires that attendees conduct themselves professionally. This includes compliance with the following policies:

• Conducting business on the floor of the trade show is not permitted without purchase of a booth space. Exceptions are made for working journalists who are registered with ASTA’s Global Convention’s Communications office.

• Appropriate attire is required for events; business casual for ASTA’s Global Convention and black-tie for the ASTA Advocacy Dinner.

• Advertising outside of a paid booth space is prohibited, including but not limited to handing out promotional items or advertising pieces and/or wearing clothing or other adornments that are intended to convey advertising messages; it is acceptable to wear clothing that displays a logo and a brand name are intended to convey advertising messages.

ASTA Chapter Award

For the Chapter who leads the pack in terms of meetings/ events, new member recruitment and retention. Nominations and winner selected by the head of the Chapter Presidents Council. Presented at the Opening General Session on 17 Sept Tuesday.

ASTA Chapter Advocacy Award

For the chapter that has gone above and beyond in its support for ASTA’s advocacy efforts, including ASTAPAC fundraising, grassroots lobbying and new member recruitment. Nominees and winner selected by ASTA quantitative data analysis. Presented at the Advocacy Dinner, 17 Sept Tuesday.

Nicki E. Grossman was named president of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau in 1995. Ms. Grossman’s

responsibilities include the administration of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau and the sales, marketing, promotion, advertising, and publicity arm of Broward County’s convention and tourism efforts.
