SportAccord Convention is the world’s top tier annual event at the service of sport, focused on driving positive change internationally, and dedicated to engaging rights holders, organising committees, cities, businesses and other organisations in the development of sport.

SportAccord Convention has now entered its second decade as the premier sports gathering involving all of the International Sports Federation rights holders. Our mission is to nurture and develop the cooperative spirit of the diverse international sporting community, and to make SportAccord Convention synonymous with connecting people from around the globe and throughout the entire spectrum of sport. We take pride in listening, and aim to be a catalyst for cooperation, communication and collaboration between people, business, sporting bodies and governments.Owned by SportAccord, ASOIF and AIOWF, the 6-day event comprises the annual meetings of 107 International Olympic and non-Olympic Sports Federations and Organisations, two and a half days of diverse conference sessions, an extensive industry exhibition, and a wide variety of scheduled networking opportunities throughout the week. To date, the International Olympic Committee have also held their spring Executive Board meeting at the Convention. Since 2003, when the event first took place in Madrid, the Convention has been held in Lausanne, Berlin, Seoul, Beijing, Athens, Denver, Dubai, London, Québec City and this year, in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The 2014 event will take place in Belek/Antalya, Turkey, with several other cities currently bidding to host SportAccord Convention in the coming years.With up to 1700-2000 delegates from all over the world, SportAccord Convention is the key industry event for members of the international sporting community wanting to liaise with colleagues, exchange ideas and knowledge, and meet potential new partners from all areas of the sports world.

y The popular SportAccord Convention After Hours Bar, one of the week’s key networking sites. This will be located at the Sokos Hotel Palace Bridge, and will be open Tuesday May 28 to Thursday May 30.

y The Sports Demo Zone, which returns to the Exhibition Hall again this year, allowing various sports to showcase their disciplines live throughout the week.

y The First Comers Breakfast, taking place on the morning of Tuesday May 28, designed to give first-time attendees to SportAccord Convention a brief guide to making the most of their week with us.

yOur SportAccord Convention event publication, The Daily, which is distributed free of charge every morning at the breakfast restaurant of each hotel, and will update you on all of the latest Convention news.

y The NetWorker, which allows attendees to identify and communicate with other delegates on-line prior to the event, to set up meetings with the people they most want to meet during the week.

y The IF and City Directories, featured both on the SportAccord Convention website (www.sportaccordconvention.com) and in our post-event SportAccord Convention Annual. These provide a useful guide for matching up potential host cities with future international sporting events.

y The annual IF Forum, which we organise each November in Lausanne. This event is comprised of a series of private workshops and conference sessions designed by the International Federations themselves, exclusively for their members.

spOrTACCOrDMissiOn & visiOnSportAccord is the umbrella organisation for 107 international sports federations and organisations. Its mission is to unite and support the common interests of the sports movement.Activities include the organisation of the Multi-Sports Games (SportAccord World Combat Games, SportAccord World Mind Games, SportAccord World Beach Games, SportAccord World Artistic Games, SportAccord World Urban Games); doping-free sport; social/environmental responsibility and integrity; the International Federations recognition process; the Online Community platform, the World Sports Index, The Sports Hub as well as several other strategic initiatives, all developed and implemented on behalf, and to the benefit, of SportAccord’s members.This year’s SportAccord International Convention takes place in Saint Petersburg, Russia. This beautiful and culturally rich city will also be the host of the second edition of SportAccord World Combat Games (18-26 October 2013) which promote values of self-control, determination and technical mastery. The event programme features Martial Arts and Combat Sports; Aikido, Boxing, Fencing, Judo, Jujitsu, Karate, Kendo, Kickboxing, Muaythai, Sambo, Savate, Sumo, Taekwondo, Wrestling, Wushu. The sports combine unique elements of culture, wisdom, and friendship to create an elite sports competition, called “the Art of Combat”. This year will also feature the third edition of SportAccord World Mind Games (to take place in Beijing, China) - an event that promotes strategy, intelligence and mental stamina. There are five participating mind sports; Bridge, Chess, Draughts, Go and Xiangqi (Chinese Chess). The above-mentioned events are just two in the portfolio of Multi-Sports Games developed by SportAccord. The Multi-Sports Games, which group Olympic and non-Olympic sports with common backgrounds, focus on: 1) promoting excellence and diversity in sport 2) encouraging cross-sports exchanges and creating a unique atmosphere for athletes and fans; and 3) raising awareness about social and sustainability issues. Other events in development include the World Beach Games, the World Artistic Games and the World Urban Games.SportAccord’s Integrity Unit takes a leading role in the provision of generic tools and services for its members to assist them in combating the scourge of match-fixing in sport. An Integrity Package launched in 2013 includes a Code of Conduct, Model Rules, Guide to Integrity in Sport, Integrity Database and the revamped E-Learning ‘RealPlayer’ Programme. The Unit has been actively collaborating with international partners such as the EU, Council of Europe, Interpol, the United Nations, and the World and European Lotteries Associations to address the integrity of sport including defining a framework for better governance within sports organisations. The Social Responsibility Unit has been instrumental in forging the global efforts to increase the positive social, environmental and economic impacts of sports events through a Sustainability Event Management strategy launched during the IF Forum 2012. SportAccord supports its members in 5 areas in their sustainability journey: 1. Training and Education, 2. Implementation, 3. Reporting, 4. Certification and 5. Communication.

AsOif MissiOn & visiOnFounded in 1983 by the 21 International Federations governing the sports included in the Programme of the 1984 Summer Olympic Games, ASOIF was created to form a unifying and cohesive link between the summer Olympic IFs, the IOC and the organisers of the Olympic Games and now has 28 members. ASOIF’s role is to serve and represent the Summer Olympic International Federations in the most competent and professional manner on all issues of common and global interest. This includes the Summer Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games, all affairs within the Olympic Movement including those related to the World Anti-Doping Agency and the Court of Arbitration for Sport, issues such as the fight against illegal betting and corruption in sport and all other matters that affect its member Federations. This year, ASOIF celebrates its thirtieth anniversary by welcoming its third President, Francesco Ricci Bitti. Under the previous twelve year presidency of Denis Oswald ASOIF took great strides towards binding the Summer Olympic sports together in a manner that promoted and celebrated their unity for the collective enhancement of the sports and the Olympic Movement in general. This spirit will be consolidated under President Ricci Bitti, and the new presidency will also see a marked increase not only in ASOIF’s daily operations, but also in the scope of its representation and projects for the benefit of its members. ASOIF is administered by an executive body, the Council, which consists of its President and six additional individual members from different IFs. The ASOIF office is located in the House of Sport in Lausanne and is led by the Executive Director, Andrew Ryan.

AiOwf MissiOn & visiOnThe Association of International Olympic Winter Sports Federations was founded in 1976 during the Games in Innsbruck by the six International Federations on the Programme of the Olympic Winter Games at that time. The World Curling Federation was affiliated when it was included in the Programme of the Games in 1992.In principle the main purpose of AIOWF is to represent matters of common interest to the International Winter Sports Federations in its dealings with the International Olympic Committee, SportAccord and Organizing Committees of the Olympic Winter Games, respecting the autonomy of each of the members. Who: International Sports Federation legal counsel/integrity officers, sports lawyers, legislators and policy makers specialised in sports fraud.

‘What regulatory framework is needed to combat match-fixing in sport?’

To help combat the scourge of match-fixing that is infiltrating sport around the world, a strong regulatory framework adopted by sports organizations and legislative authorities is crucial. There is general consensus that the adoption of strict regulations as well as adequate prevention and disciplinary procedures by sports organizations must be supported, in parallel, by a clear legislative framework. Fighting criminals involved in match-fixing through recourse to criminal legislation that enables investigatory powers and sanctions to guarantee both efficiency and protection of individual rights cannot be achieved without national and international legal frameworks. Furthermore, the betting laws in various jurisdictions around the world must be taken into account as gambling has significantly developed and changed in nature in the last decade substantially contributing to contemporary match-fixing characteristics. Lawaccord 2013 participants will be invited to discuss national and international regulatory frameworks addressing match-fixing in order to provide participants with a clear insight on the status quo and where further regulation is required.

peter is an expert in sports consulting with a focus on youth-oriented strategies. in september 2009, he was appointed Chief executive officer of the innsbruck 2012 Winter Youth olympic Games, which ioC president Jacques rogge summarized as being ten glorious days.

since January 2012 peter has been the Managing Director of osM – opensportsmanagement. osM, a new organisation set up by sir keith Mills, former Deputy Chairman of the london 2012 olympic Games and long-time supporter of iMoCa and america’s Cup sailing, has been created to specifically promote ocean racing with the iMoCa class and to manage their commercial interests.

as opposed to inshore racing and olympic racing, where boat races take place near the shore, iMoCa sailboats compete in ocean racing events and thus under extreme circumstances. The class is currently one of the strongest offshore racing classes in the world with over 30 boats competing in recent events.

seven high profile and extremely challenging yacht races are now established amongst them the Vendée Globe and the Barcelona World race, which are both run every four years. He currently lives in lausanne, is married and has one son.

ingrid Beutler is an international lawyer and Director of the social responsibility and integrity Units of sportaccord, the umbrella organisation for all international sports federations and organisations. from 2006-2010, ingrid was with the United Nations office on sport for Development and peace where she spearheaded the integration of the sport for Development and peace international Working Group into the UN system and was editor of the United Nations report on the international Year of sport and physical education 2005. prior to this, ingrid was a researcher at the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of armed forces. she competed as a professional cyclist in europe before undertaking a Masters in international law (ll.M) with the Graduate institute of international studies, Geneva, switzerland. she also has a law degree (ll.B) and Bachelor of arts (B.a) with a double major in geography and political science from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and is an associate of the Trinity College of london (aTCl in piano).

Jim Bell, who served as the executive producer of the 2012 london olympics, the most-watched event in U.s. television history, was named the full-time executive producer of NBCUniversal’s coverage of the olympic Games on November 13, 2012. Bell will report to NBC sports Group Chairman Mark lazarus and will have editorial and creative control over NBC’s olympic Unit, led by Gary Zenkel, president, NBC olympics.

Bell rejoins NBC sports Group full time following seven years leading “Today,” the iconic news program that dominated the morning ratings race for 16 years. He served as both executive producer of “Today” and the london olympics earlier this year.

With more than 20 years of experience producing some of the highest profile news and sports programming on television, Bell has created, managed and overseen original television content of every type and is a leader within NBC’s senior production ranks. in addition to guiding the “Today” show through some of its most challenging transitions and ambitious initiatives, he has been a critical part of NBC’s coverage of the olympic Games. Mihir Bose is an award winning journalist and author. He was the BBC’s first sports editor where he investigated and analysed sports stories. Before joining the BBC, he was the chief sports news correspondent for the Daily Telegraph for 12 years where he created an innovative weekly column, inside sport. He also wrote on the editorial pages on such subjects as race, immigration, and other social and cultural issues.

Ten years later, he was elected general prosecutor of Neuchatel, switzerland, a position which he held until 2011. He then joined Uefa, in Nyon, as Chief Counsel, integrity and regulatory affairs. since august 2012, he is senior legal Counsel at the Cies.

During his years in the judiciary, pierre Cornu has also worked for an investigation committee of the swiss parliament about specific issues regarding the Ministry of Defense and established a report about the relations between the swiss secret organisation p-26 and foreign organisations. He was also the Chairman of the swiss Conference of prosecutors. for the swiss Confederation and the Council of europe, he has been active in various cooperation projects with Central and eastern european countries, in particular in the field of judges’ and prosecutors’ ethics and deontology. in sports, pierre Cornu has presided during many years over the swiss football association’s Control and Disciplinary Committee and later the appeals Body of the swiss fa. for two years, he chaired the international Boxing association’s Disciplinary Committee. Don fehr was named executive Director of the National Hockey league players’ association (NHlpa) in December 2010, after serving as an advisor to the union for a year. The NHlpa is the union which represents all players in the NHl.

previously, Don spent 33 years with the Major league Baseball players association (MlBpa), the last 26 of which as its executive Director. prior to joining the MlBpa, Don worked as outside counsel on the landmark Messersmith-McNally free agency case for the union. Under Don’s leadership, the MlB players successfully maintained unity through one lockout and two strikes; litigated the collusion cases of the 1980s which led to the owners paying $280 million in damages to the players; and won the bad-faith bargaining case that ended the 1994-95 strike and eventually led to a new collective bargaining agreement that established labor peace in baseball, which it has enjoyed since, in contrast to the other Us professional team sports. He played an important role in growing the sport of baseball beyond North america, including helping in the creation and development of the World Baseball Classic in June 2009, Don announced his retirement as MlBpa executive Director. Don also served for seven years as a public sector member of the Board of Directors of the United states National olympic Committee for seven years.

Don serves as the NHl players’ chief negotiator in collective bargaining with NHl owners. He always developed and maintained a strong consensus throughout the entire MlBpa membership on all important issues while keeping the players united and informed, and has sought to do the same with the NHlpa membership.

Vincent Gaillard is Director General of sportaccord, the umbrella organisation for all international sports federations and organisations, and a sports management and sustainability professional, with 20-years of wide-ranging experience achieved in various organisations throughout the world.

Vincent is also a sports and sustainability expert, with experience acquired through steering Coca-Cola’s sustainability efforts at the Beijing 2008 and london 2012 olympics, which enabled the company to be awarded the first “green medal” by Greenpeace, and to become one of the first organisations in the world to be certified iso 2012-1 for sustainable event Management. as part of his new role with sportaccord, Vincent is exploring new ways for sport to adopt more sustainable practices, and has just launched a new initiative targeting the events of sportaccord’s members and a joint venture with the WWf. in parallel to his work, Vincent is completing a Master’s of science at the Centre for environmental strategy of the University of surrey. He is working on several publications in the field of sustainability and sport, and was nominated in 2013 as a member of the ioC sport & environment Commission.

Hazem is a partner in pricewaterhouseCoopers (pwC) based in Doha and the Global leader for pwC´s state and local Government sector. With 24 years of consulting experience, Hazem has expertise in cities and local government strategy formulation, sustainable development and public sector reform. He led several multi-million dollar projects for both public and private sector. since 2007, Hazem has been leading pwC’s Thought leadership around the world for cities and local governments. He led the core group which developed a comprehensive framework for city management, smart communities design and assessment tools to assist city managers in charting their path to become a “City of the future” with a sustainable economy. He also led and contributed to other global research efforts and reports on cities including “Game on” on managing global sporting events, “impact of the financial Crisis on Cities” survey and “Cities of opportunity”, comparing and benchmarking global financial centers, jointly with the partnership for New York City.

He has worked on several projects in the Middle east, latin america, asia, the United states and europe, which gives him an edge of expertise with the public sector in both developed and developing markets conditions. He also supported pwC’s efforts to work with cities and local government entities around the world. for example, he is currently supporting the Qatar 2022 supreme Committee in preparation for the World Cup. He recently advised the government of singapore on future scenarios of demographic changes and their impact on economic development. in Brazil, during a two year secondment period, he assisted the city of rio de Janeiro to maximize the impact of the upcoming olympics and the World Cup for the tourism, construction and other relevant sectors. in russia, he´s part of a pwC team advising on the design and implementation of skolkovo, an innovation focused initiative as well as the sochi Winter olympics. also in russia, he has been engaged with the russian olympic University on designing and delivering capacity development programs for sports managers.

David is a recognised international sports manager with dynamic leadership and management capabilities. He has extensive knowledge and experience in olympic, paralympic and Commonwealth sport governance and management and a proven track record of forming strategic alliances, creating innovative programmes and initiatives, leading organisational change and transformation and delivering complex projects and large-scale events.

prior to joining Glasgow 2014 ltd., David was the executive Director of sport and international federation (if) relations at the international paralympic Committee (ipC) headquartered in Bonn, Germany, where he served from 1999 to 2009. During David’s tenure at the ipC he was responsible for overseeing all Games-related activities associated with the development and delivery of the paralympic Games sports programme, National paralympic Committee services, paralympic Village operations and technology systems and services. He was instrumental in driving the ipC sport governance and management initiative and promoted the independence and self-sustainability of para sports within the mainstream sports industry. During his career, he has served as a coach, team administrator, consultant and Board member.

David Hill joined foX sports in December 1993 when News Corp wrested the rights to the National football league from CBs and he was charged with building a network quality sports division, literally from the ground up. following the highly successful launch of the Nfl on foX, with its ‘same Game – New attitude’ approach and revolutionary foXBox constant score and time graphic, the National Hockey league was added, and with it came the foXTrax glowing puck, two early production enhancements which became the hallmark of foX sports under Hill. Working closely with Chase Carey, Hill next started the fox sports Net, a hugely successful regional sports network business, and was then moved to run the fox Network, which was at the time languishing in a poor #4 position. With shows like David e. kelly’s ali McBeal, seth Mcfarlane’s family Guy, and the introduction of serial reality shows such as When animals attack, the Network quickly assumed the #2 position, #1 in the demo. Hill continued running foX sports, which by then was blossoming, now carrying MlB, super Bowls, stanley Cup finals, World series and was legitimately “foX sports,” which has been america’s #1 sports network for 14 consecutive years. When DireCTV, the world’s largest satellite distribution systems became a News Corp subsidiary, Hill worked under Ceo Chase Carey as president of the DireCTV’s entertainment Division overseeing programming services and the integration of new technologies.

He returned to foX after relinquishing his DireCTV role, assuming the position of Chairman and Ceo of the foX sports Media Group, which is News Corp’s U.s. based sports group which includes foX sports, foX sports Networks, speeD, fUel TV, foX soccer, foX Deportes, the Big Ten Network and the hugely popular foXsports.com, which in august 2012 set a record for monthly traffic totaling 46 million unique users. Hill has been hailed as a visionary, credited with launching Us sports television into a modern age. in short order, and despite initial skepticism, the foXBox became a ubiquitous staple for all sports broadcasts, and Hill is named on the patents for the yellow first down marker for football, the glowing puck, and baseball’s in-base microphones. Before publishing ‘The fix’ he completed documentaries on the killing of the head of the Canadian mafia, blood feuds in kosovo and ethnic cleansing in iraq. He has also made documentaries in kurdistan, Bolivia, india, Mexico, and Turkey. Declan has worked for CBC radio (“ideas”, “Tapestry”, “Dispatches”, “The Current”, “iraq Unit”) CBC Television (“the fifth estate”, “Disclosure”, “Newsworld” and “Newsworld international”) and “pBs frontline”. His programs and articles have appeared on BBC radio World service and BBC radio 4: the Guardian and the sunday Telegraph (london), as well as various new media outlets. in the last few years, Declan was a Chevening scholar at Green College, University of oxford where he obtained his doctorate on the study of match-fixing in professional football.

David is a single below know amputee and former paralympic athlete, representing Great Britain in the sports of standing Volleyball (all Games) and Track & field athletics (1980 Games) from 1980 in arnhem Holland, to 1996 in atlanta, Usa.

Widely regarded as one of the world’s best ever paralympic standing Volleyball players while the sport was part of the paralympic program, David received MVp/Best setter awards at paralympic, World or european Championships on some 5 occasions.

David also represented scotland mainstream/able-bodied teams at junior level and played for kilmarnock Volleyball Club in scotland for 20 years, dominating the domestic national league and cup competitions in the 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s.

When David was becoming a World Class athlete as a teenager in the late 70’s/early 80’s, prosthetic technology was verging on “dynasauric!” and didn’t receive his first flexfoot leg till the age of 27. Today he wears a “state-of-the-art” ossur running Blade.

Throughout the 90’s David was also one of the leading forces in paralympic athlete advocacy, being elected a member of the inaugural ipC athletes Commission in 1992 at the Barcelona Games, and chairing the group from 1998 – 2000. David also forged the relationship between ioC and ipC athletes Commissions and served on the ioC Commission during the same period. He also chaired the British paralympic athletes Committee in the 90’s.

Today, David is Vice-president of MV Global Transport logistics, service provider in the Transport functional area to Major international sports events, serving the industry in that type of role, since the salt lake olympic Winter Games 2002.

Carlos Nuzman is a lawyer and was a member of the Brazilian Bar association. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the rio de Janeiro City strategic plan from 1994 to 2001 and of the National sports Council of Brazil from 2002 to 2008.

Mr Nuzman was part of the first Brazilian male olympic volleyball team, which competed at the 1964 summer Games in Tokyo, when the sport made its olympic debut. He also participated in the World Championships in the Ussr in 1962 and in Czechoslovakia in 1966. He was president of the Brazilian Volleyball federation for more than 20 years (1975–1996). since 1995, he has been president of the Brazilian olympic Committee and has been a member of the international olympic Committee since 2000.

in 2008, Mr Nuzman became the second Vice-president of the pan-american sports organisation and in 2003 he was appointed president of the south american sports organisation. He was president of the international Volleyball federation’s (fiVB) Beach Volleyball World Council between 1988 and 1996, during which time he led the successful campaign for the inclusion of beach volleyball in the atlanta 1996 olympic Games.

Mr Nuzman was awarded the olympic order in 1993, was inducted into the Volleyball Hall of fame in the United states of america in 2007, received the eagle award from the United states sports academy in 2009, and in 2010, he was awarded the Gold shield of the state of antioquia in Colombia and the Military sports Merit Medal in Brazil.

Carlos Nuzman was the president of the rio 2007 pan american Games organising Committee. Today he is the president of the rio 2016 organising Committee for the olympic and paralympic Games after leading the successful rio de Janeiro bid to bring the Games to south america for the first time.

He won the armourers and Brasiers prize as the top young officer on his course in 1986, the sultan of Brunei’s special order of Merit in 1992 and is a fellow of the royal Geographical society. He is a keen cricketer, who played for the MCC, hockey player and he supports Chelsea fC.

The president of the United states appointed schiller as a permanent professor at the air force academy. His military awards include the legion of Merit and Distinguished flying Cross.

Bill has around 30 years’ experience in sport related areas of the australian Government (including 6 years working in Ministerial offices) and has held senior positions for over 16 years. Bill has had a significant role in the development of federal sports policy for more than a decade. Bill has headed the office for sport (ofs) since it was established in 2010. ofs has primary carriage of sport policy issues and works closely with sport portfolio agencies on australian sport development through increasing participation, ensuring australia’s continued success in international competition and protecting the integrity of australian sport. More recently, a Major events Taskforce has been established within the ofs to coordinate the australian Government’s involvement in and support for major sporting events including the 2015 asian football Confederation Cup, the 2015 Cricket World Cup and the 2018 Commonwealth Games. During his long career as a civil servant, Harri syväsalmi has had several director positions in the Ministry (from 1990). He has also worked as Counsellor in the permanent representation of finland to the european Union (2006 -2010) and chaired the Cultural affairs Committee and the Youth Working party during the finnish presidency 2006.

among his several positions of trust in the sports movement are e.g. Member of executive, organising and Honorary Committee of iaaf World Championships in athletics 2005 and Member of the organising Committee of european Championships in athletics 2012. He has also been Director of athletes’ Village of the 1st iaaf World Championships 1983. Before his working career Mr syväsalmi has been a member of the Board of the finnish University sports federation and achieved academic Championship in volleyball.

Mr syväsalmi has been actively involved in the international work for preserving the integrity of sport. He participated to the establishment of the World anti-Doping agency where he served as the first secretary General (2000 -2001) and Director General (2002-2003). He has co-chaired the eU Council’s expert Group of Good Governance (match-fixing) since 2011 and is currently chairing the Drafting Group of the international Convention to combat the manipulation of sports competitions as well as the subgroup with focus on sports issues.

The 60-year old syväsalmi is associate in laws. He has been awarded the Golden Gross of Merit of the finnish physical education and sports (2011) and the 1st class knights cross of the order of the White rose of finland (2012).

laurent Vidal is the Chairman of the paris 1 sorbonne-iCss research program on ethics and sport integrity at paris 1 pantheon-sorbonne University. as well as being a professor at the paris 1 pantheon-sorbonne University, he is co-director of the Department of Business public law of the legal research institute of the sorbonne University - andré Tunc (irJs - paris 1). He is an expert in public corporate law, specializing in contractual and regulatory activities involving french and foreign authorities and, more broadly, public projects related to the administration of private and public companies. His practice is centred on drafting and solving disputes in relation to, among other, public procurement, contract, competition and energy law. He has experience in advising and litigating on behalf of various clients, including the french state and other governments. laurent Vidal is also associate researcher at the irisso-CNrs (the french National Center for research) at University paris Dauphine, where he is co-leading several research initiatives relating to the interaction between law and economic theory.

Natasha Vita-More, ph.D is a theorist and designer whose research concerns human enhancement and radical life extension. He shares his life with Michelle Yeoh. after High school, Jean Todt studied at the “ecole Des Cadres” school of economics and Business in paris. in 1966, he started his career as a rally co-driver and participated to the World Championship rallies with most of the car manufacturers together with international rally drivers until 1981 when, with Guy frequelin, they won the Constructors’ World rally Championship with Talbot lotus. He also represented the drivers in the fisa (fédération internationale du sport automobile) rally Commission from 1975 to 1981. at the end of 1981 he became peugeot sporting Director and funded peugeot Talbot sport which under his management won two Constructors’ World rally Championships, two Drivers’ World rally Championships and obtained several wins in rally raids, including four in a row in the paris-Dakar. He also represented the Constructors in the fisa rally Commission. in 1990 Jean Todt was appointed Motorsport Director of the psa peugeot Citroen Group. in 1992, peugeot won the World sports Car Championship and obtained two consecutive victories in the le Mans 24 Hours in 1992 and 1993. in the middle of 1993, Jean Todt left peugeot and became Team principal of ferrari racing Division (Gestione sportiva).

Under his leadership, scuderia ferrari has won 14 formula 1 World titles and 106 Grand prix. in 2001, Jean Todt took on responsibility for all motor sport activity for the ferrari-Maserati Group and became Member of the Board of Directors of ferrari. in the middle of 2004 he was appointed General Manager of ferrari and, at the end of 2006, he became Chief executive officer of the Company, maintaining the responsibility of the Gestione sportiva. in March 2008, he decided to leave his positions of Ceo and Director of Gestione sportiva while maintaining that of Member of the Board, advisor to the Chairman and also maintaining that of president of ferrari West europe (paris) and ferrari asia pacific (shanghaï). in March 2009, he ceased any occupation in ferrari. on october 23rd 2009, Jean Todt was elected president of the fia (fédération internationale de l’automobile). stephen Townley has a unique understanding of the economic and legal models that create and deliver value to sport and their protection in different jurisdictions throughout the world. He has a contemporary understanding on how the model is changing and is accustomed to presenting and dealing at board level with commercial organisations, government and sports bodies. With a strong track record of persuading, negotiating and selling, he has directly delivered very unique and ground breaking deals (often in complex and difficult circumstances). stephen trained as a litigator and that perspective provides a further insight on the possible causes when “deals go wrong”. stephen has therefore been called upon to act as an arbitrator (Cas and iCC) as well as a mediator in helping to resolve disputes. alexander Zhukov is very enthusiastic in supporting the international sports organization by hosting their annual sessions, forums and convention in russia as well as other major sports events and tournaments. During Mr. Zhukov’s presidency the russian olympic Committee has signed 34 Memorandums of cooperation with foreign NoCs and continental sports associations.

alexander Zhukov has great leadership experience both in state governance and in sports. He has administrative background as Deputy of the state Duma of the russian federation and the Deputy prime Minister of the russian federation.

at the present time Mr. Zhukov is the first Deputy speaker of the state Duma of the russian federation. from 2003 to 2009 Mr. Zhukov was a president of the russian Chess federation. over the years of his rCf leadership he made a great contribution to the chess development in the russian federation.

in 2005 alexander Zhukov was appointed a Chairman of the organizing Committee of promotion sochi as the candidate city for the XXii Winter olympic Games and the Xi paralympic Games in 2014.
