According to the sixth article of our constitution, the Board shall select the date and place for the annual conference. This has not always been so. In Minneapolis we set sites for four years in advance by vote of the member­ship at the business meeting. lve have fairly consistently set sites for two years beyond the next occurring conference. It is important to give people enough time to plan a good conference.

In order to get back into the routine as ordered by the constitution the executive board in their Spring meeting April 13th and 14th will choose sites and dates for the 1986 and 1987 conferences from the five offers extended at the business meeting in Philadelphia.

The sites not chQsen may,'and we hope they will, resubmit offers at the 1985 conference. Next year's executive board will select one of those presented at next year's conference (1985) as the site for 1988's conference.

The date for our conference was changed several years back to keep from conflicting with other conferences that are of interest to the field such as RESNA and ADTSEA conferences which have generally fallen in August. It has been suggested several times that we meet during the period of January through March as this is a slower time for many ADED members. However, several members have had some very poor experiences with flight Cancellations because of snow. The general feeling is that September is a comfortable month to meet. We have traditionally met on the third \'lednesday, Thursday and Friday of September. This seems to be fairly successful and if you know ahead of time when it is coming you can plan accordingly.

The five sites which have been offered for consideration by the executive board are Phoenix, Ari~ona; Orlando, Florida; Denver, Colorado; Los Angeles, California; and Fisherville, Virginia. If you wish to have a voice in the selection please write to any member of the executive board expreSSing your preference or listing the sites in your order or choice.
