Dear Friends: Thank you so much for “Savannah Day”, which your association held to collect much needed paper products for the Georgia Baptist Chil- dren’s Homes. We continue to be blessed each year through this special event. Thank you so much for the monetary gifts and the $275 worth of gift cards (including Walmart & VISA debit) which were donated to the Baxley Campus this year. We too are extremely grateful for the truck load of paper prod- ucts including cups, plates, napkins, forks, toilet tissue, and paper towels. Your association continues to be a blessing to our ministries. Just as nature blooms with the warm sun shining, the children in our care bloom in the love of God’s Son. We are blessed as an agency to share God’s love with these children. Your generous gift allows us to continue encouraging our children to bloom in the love of Jesus Christ. Sincerely, Micheal Shumans Baxley Division Administrator Associaon Missionary Thoughts The Georgia Baptist Mission Board will be hav- ing their GO GEORGIA Ministry Training at FBC Statesboro on August 23rd and 24 th . Thank you for the Honor. Serving Him Together, Buddy Wasson Association Missionary [email protected] Assembly News With the passing of Memorial Day weekend, we are entering the busiest season of the year at your Savannah Baptist Assembly. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Buddy Wasson, a handful of contractors, and several tireless volunteers, the new cabins and bathrooms that have been in progress for months are completed and ready for Summer groups! With those new cabins and bathrooms inspected, approved, and available for use, we now have overnight accommoda- tions for up to 87 people at a time, no matter the weather. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness and all the people He’s prompted to help make this possible. In addition, the air conditioning unit in the Lodge went out in May and one of our local contractors (Galbreath & Sons, Inc.) was able to get the new equipment donated and installed it for us. The previous unit was over 20 years old, so we’re thanking God for providing this blessing through His people. Between the new cabins & bathrooms, the new Lodge A/C, recent upgrades to the interior of the Tabernacle, and vinyl siding & metal roofs on most of the buildings, the next time you join us at the Assembly you’ll find a familiar space with a refreshed look and more comfortable feel. Several of the churches in the Association have already re- served dates for these coming months – for youth and chil- dren’s camps, church picnics, men’s and women’s gatherings, etc. It’s going to be an exciting season as we welcome and serve these churches and more. How about your church or group? If you’re interested in booking the Assembly for the Summer or Fall, or simply taking a tour, please give me a call or email to explore the dates and options still available.
