Triangle Technicon in the company of Mr Lwazi Bam. The ABASA delegation came to
address students on the potential for students to participate in the Bridging programmes,

B.Com programme and ultimately qualifying as CAs.
Since those humble days he has never looked back, having received a bursary from

PORTFOLIO: HEAD OF POLICY AND
SUSTAINABLE WEALTH CREATION CANDIDATE
22
MR SIBUSISO NDUNA
Sibusiso joined ABASA in the Western Cape in 2007 when he commenced his articles at
professional services firm, Deloitte. He was involved in various portfolios but took a
particular interest in the schooling portfolio where he visited various schools to increase
awareness of the accounting profession to scholars between grade 10 and 12, and
equipping those that were interested in studying towards the profession with regards to
subject choices, university requirements, bursaries and scholarships etc. Upon moving to
Johannesburg, he joined the Gauteng FQE celebration planning committee for two years
(2015 and 2016), and is currently a member of the 2017 convention planning committee.
He would like to continue to serve ABASA at National level as the Head of the Policy and
Sustainable Wealth Creation portfolio as he is passionate about enabling black
accountants to meaningfully participate in the economy and lead the growth and
development of Africa. He would draw immensely on his experience of being a committee
member of the Black Business Council’s (BBC) Economic Transformation Portfolio to
execute this role.
