Required Assignment (Machine and Power) A three phase, four poles, 380V, 50Hz, delta connected induction motor has the following parameters: r1=1 r2’=1.2 x1=1.5 x2’=1.5 Rc=880 xm=440, mechanical losses 66 W. if the motor runs at 1470 rpm, find: 1- Synchronous speed 2- Slip 3- Core losses power 4- Stator copper losses 5- Air gap power 6- Rotor copper losses 7- Developed power 8- Input current 9- Input power 10- Output power 11- Efficiency 12- Developed torque 13- Output torque 14- Power factor A three phase, 50 Hz, 3000 V induction motor develops 600 HP. The power factor being 0.85 lagging and efficiency 93%. A bank of capacitors is connected in delta across the supply terminals and power factor was raised to 0.95 lagging. Each of capacitor unit is built of five similar 600 V capacitors. Find the value of each capacitor in the capacitor bank.
