1. Conflict management style I got 30 points for column 1, 32 points for column 2, 31 points for column 3 and 31 points for column 4. That probably makes me something between and owl and a fox. Sometimes I tend to avoid certain conflicts if I consider them to be worthless. Other times I make a big problem out of a conflict and I am not happy until I solve it. It is really important to me to make all the negative feelings go away. I usually am the one who compromises and gives something in return. I think I should be more open to opinions that are different than mine. I should also listen more carefully to the other’s arguments and be less confronting. 2.1 In this situation I would probably make sure that not everyone else feels the same. Then I will ask him to tell me if there is a certain teaching style that pleases him and that makes him understand better the subject. It may not be appropriate for a teacher to ask her/his students to give teaching advice, but I could not get mad on someone because he is sincere. 1. Conflict management style

Sometimes I tend to avoid certain conflicts if I consider them to be worthless. Other times I make a big problem out of a conflict and I am not happy until I solve it. 2.1 In this situation I would probably make sure that not everyone else feels the same. Then I will ask him to tell me if there is a certain teaching style that pleases him and that makes him understand better the subject. It may not be appropriate for a teacher to ask her/his students to give teaching advice, but I could not get mad on someone because he is sincere. The best solution would be to engage everyone in the class activities, to be more attentive at their needs. I do not think it is necessary to give the students better marks and less homework just because a pupil doesnt like my classes. If the student who tells me that he cannot learn anything from me is a bully and he has no interest in school means that he tries to bully me too. In this case I would probably talk to his head teacher and explain the situation.

2.2 If nothing else is working, I would try to offer those who are interested in their training some special rewards like new books or materials for their classes, or some distinctions. A good principle does not need many resources to keep the teachers satisfied and continuously willing to improve their teaching methods.I would ask those who refuse to take part in trainings to write in the schools magazine some articles about the innovations in their field. This way they will be forced by the circumstances to do a little research at least. I could also encourage the stale teachers to help the younger ones by going with them at some training events. Each older teacher will have a protg who s/he has to shape by organizing activities together and by attending conferences and other training events. This way the ones who used to refuse to go, will be proud to know that they can initiate an inexperienced teacher.
