Daniel O'Sullivan (Charles Guiteau) is a notably lame disciple of Jesus. Favorite roles include Ferdinand (The Tempest) and Ronnie (The House of Blue Leaves) at Charlotte Shakespeare; Peter (The Diary of Anne Frank) at Old Courthouse Theatre; and Skeets (Floyd Collins) and Mike (Lombardi) right here. He thanks his parents, and “that cute girl with wild hair.”
Meredith Wesbrooks Owen (Sarah Jane Moore) was last seen in CPCC’s production of Godspell (Peggy). She won an MTA nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in Theatre Charlotte’s Songs for a New World. Credits include Theatre Charlotte’s Rent (Joanne) and in Smoke on The Mountain (June Sanders). “Special thanks to my best friends and family. And much love to my talented sister, Meghan, who deserves credit for running lines. Love you all to the moon and back.”
Scott C. Reynolds (Leon Czolgosz) has appeared in A Few Good Men, Metamorphoses and Frost/Nixon with CAST; Julius Caesar with the Collaborative Arts Shakespeare Festival; 42nd Street, Plaza Suite, and Play It Again Sam with CPCC; War of The Worlds with Actors Scene Unseen, and Improv with The Chuckleheads. Scott’s television and film credits include roles in The Patriot, Leatherheads, Back In The Saddle and Drop Dead Diva. “Much appreciation to the gifted cast and crew, the inspiring faith of Charles, Marty and my dear Carol.”
Katie Riley (Lynette ‘Squeaky’ Fromme) is making her CAST stage debut. She has performed at Theatre Charlotte, worked backstage at CPCC Theatre, and sings with Carolina Voices. She's studying theatre at CPCC, and when she's not performing she can often be found running the CAST box office. She's very grateful for this opportunity and loves everyone in the cast and crew. She thanks “her family, friends and her Heavenly Father."
Doug Roaten (The Presidents, Ensemble) is a veteran of Charlotte musical theatre. A 2007 Actors Theatre Award nominee, he has sung with the chorus of Opera Carolina for 15 years, currently performs with his a capella group Queen City Groove, and has worked with the likes of Judy Collins and Bobby McFerrin.
Gareth Robbins (The Boy) is excited to be working with the amazing talent at CAST. Credits include The Wiz and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He can be seen this summer at Theatre Charlotte in Willy Wonka Jr. “Thanks to Mom, Dad and Jaren for being so great!”
Glynis Robbins (Emma Goldman, Ensemble) is thrilled to be in her first production at CAST. Previous credits include A Christmas Carol at Theatre Charlotte (Mrs. Dilber), 9 to 5 at OCT (Kathy), Sherlock Holmes (Irene Adler). “Thank you to Brock, Jaren and Gareth for being so supportive!”
Chris Sepulveda (Samuel Byck) is honored to be the new guy in a group of amazing local talent, and to get to work with CAST for the first time. He would like to thank ‘Life’ for the inspiration for his character.
Shannon Wightman-Girard (Choreographer) is a 20+ year veteran of dance. Choreography credits include Welcome to the Monkey House, Just Do It shows, In The Heat of The Night, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? “Thank you to the stellar cast of ‘Assassins’ and, as always, to Charles LaBorde and Marty Gregory and to my Mar for his patience and understanding. Choreography with guns is always a BLAST!”
Victoria A. Fisher (Lighting Designer) is originally from Texas and making her design debut with CAST. She was the Lighting Designer for Queen City Theatre's production of Me & Jezebel. Other lighting designs include Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and Rhinoceros. Her recent scenic design work includes The Life and Times of Tulsa Lovechild, Cosi fan tutte, HMS Pinafore, and Henry Faust.
Alex Gagné (Giuseppe Zangara) is proud to make his CAST debut with this provocative production. He is a graduate of UNC School of the Arts’ High School Drama program and working toward his BFA Acting degree. Stage credits include Kenneth Raglan in Queen City Theatre Company’s production of Rope to Touchstone at the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. “Enjoy the show!”
Marty Gregory (Music Director) is a pianist, organist, published songwriter and hymnodist. She has directed music shows for Old Courthouse Theatre, Queen City Theatre, Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte, Collaborative Arts Theatre, Epic Arts Repertory Theatre, Queens University, Theatre Charlotte. Marty performed the piano score in CAST’s production of 33 Variations. Her credits include ten Metrolina Theatre Association nominations for Outstanding Music Director of a Musical Production and nine Creative Loafing Theatre Award nominations for Best Conductor/Music Director of a Musical Production.
Wm. Daniel Hoffman (John Hinckley) is making his debut with CAST. Some of his favorite roles include Trotter in Journey's End and The Courier in 1776. He thanks Mike, Charles, and the rest of CAST for being so welcoming and inviting. He dedicates this play to his Parents, Stepdad, Grandparents, as well as Simon for getting him to love theatre again.
Gabrielle Johansen (Assistant Director) is a lifelong theatre geek with a passion for directing. She is delighted to be working her first show at CAST, assisting the talented and lovely Charles LaBorde.
Lexi Karabatsos (Ensemble) is excited to be working at CAST for the first time. She was most recently seen as Robin in Godspell at CPCC. She thanks Charles and Marty for giving her the opportunity to work with this amazing cast, and her parents for always being willing to bring her to and from rehearsals.
Charles LaBorde (Director) is the founder and retired principal of the high school at Northwest School of the Arts. He has also been awarded the Marian Smith Career Achievement Award in Theatre from the North Carolina Theatre Conference. He holds his Ph.D. in theatre from Ohio State. His latest directing efforts have been Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? at Theatre Charlotte, Play It Again, Sam at CPCC, and When You Comin' Back, Red Ryder?, and 33 Variations at CAST. He is a full member of The Dramatists Guild, Inc.—the professional theatrical union of Playwrights, Composers and Lyricists. His plays have been performed in New York, across the United States and in Europe. He thanks his very understanding wife, Brenda, for her support in this and all his endeavors.
Joshua Lucero (Lee Harvey Oswald) is happy to be back at CAST for a third time this season. He was Jeff the Ref in The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity and Canary in Very Still and Hard to See. The rest of his time is spent not being seen building props or moving scenery at CPCC and Children's Theatre of Charlotte.

THE COMPANY
Peter Basone (Proprietor) is new to Charlotte and this is his first show at CAST,
and in Charlotte, after a many-year hiatus in the theatre.
Ann Marie Calabro (Ensemble) is excited for her first post-college performance
in CAST. She is a recent graduate of Winthrop University.
Pamela Coffman (Ensemble) is thrilled to be in her second CAST production,
having last appeared in Very Still and Hard to See. She has also appeared in
productions at CPCC, Old Courthouse Theatre and Matthews Playhouse. "Love
to my family and friends for your continued support!”
Nancy Cottingham (Ensemble) is having a great time in her first Sondheim
musical. Credits include CAST’s Floyd Collins, Roz in 9 to 5: the Musical at Old
Courthouse Theatre, Mayor Matilda Hyde in Uwharrie Players’ All Shook Up
(2011 MTA Best Production--Regional South), and Sister Mary Hubert in
Nunsense at OCT. “Thanks to Charles and Marty and Susan.”
Samuel Crawford (John Wilkes Booth) studied theater at Elon University and
UNC School of the Arts. This is his fourth production at CAST, the most recent
being Red in When You Coming Back, Red Ryder and Mike Clark in 33 Variations.
Samuel would like to thank Charles, Marty, Michael and everyone else who
helped him ‘get a prize’.
Ryan Deal (Balladeer) is making his CAST debut. Stage credits include
Children's Theatre’s The Secret Garden (Archibald Craven), and CPCC's Godspell
(Jesus). Ryan has also served as Music Director for over a dozen Charlotte
productions, including Theatre Charlotte's RENT for which he won the 2011
MTA award for Outstanding Music Direction.
Geoff Denson (Ensemble) has been seen in local productions at CPCC in Big
River, The Civil War, and Almost, Maine and Theatre Charlotte in A Christmas
Carol. He thanks Charles, Susan, and Marty, as well as his family and friends for
their support. "All praise and glory to Jesus Christ, to whom I owe everything."
Pamela Freedy (Ensemble) is happy to appear again with CAST. She was seen in
last year's Floyd Collins and the one woman show, Eliza. Pam shares her joy for
theatre as a teacher with CMS and a teaching artist around the area. “A special
thank you to her Daniel for being himself and adding a touch of boogle to her life.”
Gyo Gamble (David Herold, Ensemble) is a student at Catawba College studying
Theatre Education Credits include Noises Off! (Tim Allgood) and Cabaret (Ernst
Ludwig) in the Charlotte area. He thanks the production team to allow him to
act onstage, and build backstage, on one of his favorite Sondheim musicals.
Susan Gaskins (Stage Manager) is happy to be back working with CAST after
too many years away. Her last show at CAST was as Assistant Stage Manager
for Rembrandt's Gift. She would like to thank all her family, this cast and crew,
and especially Kyle for always supporting her in what she loves to do!

CAST presents the regional premiere of Good People by the Pulitzer
Prize-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire. Good People explores
the struggles, shifting loyalties and unshakable hopes that come with
having next to nothing in America.

THE OTHER PLACE
January 10-February 2
CAST presents the regional premiere of The Other Place, a brilliantly
crafted drama by Sharr White. This eloquent and moving experience
was originally developed in association with Matt Olin, who is now a
Charlotte resident.

Winner of the Tony Award for Best Revival Play, CAST is proud to
present the regional premiere of Marc Camoletti’s classic French farce
Boeing Boeing.

CAST presents the regional premiere of Athol Fugard’s classic Sizwe
Banzi is Dead. The New York Times called it “A joyous hymn to
human nature.”

CAST presents the regional premiere of Neil LaBute’s latest comedic
drama Reasons To Be Pretty - a love story about the impossibility of

THE LAST DAYS OF JUDAS ISCARIOT

Stephen Adly Guirgis’ The Last Days of Judas Iscariot tells the story
of a court case over the ultimate fate of Judas Iscariot, using
flashbacks to an imagined childhood and testimonies from Mother
Teresa, Sigmund Freud and Satan.

CAST presents Tony Kushner’s Pulitzer Prize and two-time Tony
Award winning play Angels In America - the first production of this
modern classic by a Charlotte company in nearly two decades.
