Already the ancient Romans knew about asparagus, which was then mainly used as medicine. At the beginning of the 17th century we started to grow asparagus in our region and Schrobenhausen and the surrounding area is considered the biggest growing area in Bavaria. There is hardly any other vegetable said to have as many benefits conducive to good health as asparagus and which is said to make you slim, healthy and beautiful.
