2017 marks the occasion of ASIC’s 10th Anniversary. Over these years we’ve had the privilege of working

with many excellent institutions and have seen many changes in the international education sector. Though

there have been challenges along the way, we are proud of how far ASIC’s accreditation has come and the

recognition it has received around the world.

To mark our 10th anniversary ASIC will be holding its first International Conference in the city of Kuala

Lumpur, Malaysia.

The stunning city of KL, capital of Malaysia, is home to a vibrant mix of

peoples, cultures and traditions as well as being one of the main business

and economic hubs of South-East Asia. The city hosts the famous

Petronas Towers which held the title of the world’s tallest buildings from

1998 to 2004 and which remain the tallest twin towers in the world. With

excellent transport links to countries throughout the Asia Pacific region

and beyond, KL is the ideal location for our inaugural international

conference.

Costs & Suggested Hotels

The cost per delegate is £250 (which does not include flights or

accommodation). This price includes conference attendance, literature,

coffee breaks, buffet lunch on both days, and attendance at the Awards

Dinner including buffet. Each institution may send a maximum of 5 delegates per institution.

There are several excellent hotels located in Kuala Lumpur very close to the conference venue. For

instance: 5 Star Hotels – The InterContinental, Ritz Carlton, The Westin, Grande Hyatt, Concord Hotel, Park

Royal and 4 Star Hotels – Hotel Istana, Royale Bintang Hotel, The Federal.

Please note: the conference fee does not include flights or accommodation and conference delegates

should arrange their own accommodation and transport.

The conference will be focussing on quality assurance issues, developments in higher education,

international marketing, and working with agents. Day two will focus particularly on partnership

development. During the event you will have the opportunity to meet with other accredited institutions

and senior staff of ASIC who will be giving presentations throughout the conference on important topics

in International Education.

The first evening of the conference will also play host to our formal Awards Dinner. These awards will

celebrate excellence in international education and information about the nominations process will be

released shortly. Please note that awards can only be made to those attending.

There will also be a familiarisation visit to one of our Premier Accredited institutions following the

conference on Friday 22nd September.
