Increasing Capacity Supply, Particularly Ku-band
Over the past 9 months from 2H 2013 to March 2014, 10 satellites including 2 replacements and 8 new satellites were launched, providing new capacity of up to 86 C-band, 251 Ku-band and 51 Ka-band transponders across Asia Pacific
In upcoming 9 months, about 13 new satellites are planned for launch, to provide additional capacity of more than 40 C-band, 270 Ku-band and 12 Ka-band transponders serving Middle East, Central Asia, South Asia, South East Asia, East Asia and Australasia
