The notched G2 fertilizer disc works well when planting into wet or dry heavy residue field conditions. The notches in the blade help it “walk” over the residue, keeping the disc rolling in the field instead of plugging or stopping. The FAB fertilizer bracket pivots 40° in and out from center so you can adjust and control where the fertilizer is injected, closer or further away from the disc blade. The FAB bracket can be used for both low and high pressure. For high pressure, screw in one of Schaffert Mfg.’s stainless steel high pressure injector orifices into the bottom of the tube. BENEFITS OF DUAL FERTILIZER PLACEMENT

▶ Double your rate of fertilizer while keeping it in two separate bands close to the furrow to propagate downward root movement

▶ Lower rate versus broadcasting for zone building

▶ Safer at higher rates for seedlings ▶ Great for micro-nutrient packages of fertilizer that cannot go in furrow ▶ Located behind the cover discs on the planter, keeping the gauge wheels clean for better depth control—no build-up from opener in front of the row unit

▶ Works excellent with the 4" Chicken Tracker™ press wheel―helps eliminate mud build-up

Dual side placement of fertilizer is quickly becoming a popular method of increasing yields. Traditionally, larger quantities of starter or nitrogen fertilizer application has occurred on one side of the furrow. But with our new dual side placement options, farmers can now apply liquid fertilizer on both sides of the furrow.

The standard smooth G2 disc and NEW notched disc offer many advantages.

The new heavy duty rubber boot is specially made for our fertilizer tubes, designed to immediately snap back into place after hitting trash. The rubber boot also helps eliminate fertilizer on the row unit.

Case IH 2100Case IH 2100 DUAL PLACEMENTTUBES IN-BETWEEN

BENEFITS OF DUAL FERTILIZER PLACEMENT

Fertilizer injects directly into the slices opened by the Case IH cover discs.

The in-between fertilizer tube for Case IH 2100 planters attaches to a mounting plate. There are lefts, rights, shorts, and longs to accommodate both leading and trailing cover discs. The tubes and mounting plate do not cover up the diff erent down pressure settings for the air cylinder.

A set back bracket moves the press wheel back 2". This prevents the press wheel from coming in contact with the stainless steel tubes.

For high pressure, screw in one of Schaff ert Mfg.’s stainless steel high pressure injector orifi ces into the bottom of the tube.

The heavy duty rubber boot is specially made for our fertilizer tubes, designed to immediately snap back into place after hitting trash. The rubber boot also helps eliminate fertilizer on the row unit.

We have diff erent connector hose and Y-splitter options available for single and dual placement.

Case IH 2100Case IH 2100 DUAL PLACEMENT TUBES OUT THE BACK

Tubes Out The Back

The new Case IH 2100 planters have a unique system of closing the seed V behind the double disc openers, using two reverse concave discs to close the seed furrow and a 6" press tire to compact soil in around the

seed. On the new Case IH 2100 series planters the covering discs size is larger and the press wheel arm has been shortened, making it hard to put a fertilizer tube behind the covering disc without the press wheel hitting the fertilizer tubes. Many farmers want a fertilizer tube similar to the ones we attach to Case IH 800-1200 series planters that work well.

We have single and dual tubes that mount behind the press wheels or Chicken Tracker™ press wheel of Case IH 2100 series planter. You can place an orifice inside the end of the tube to inject fertilizer into the soil close to the ground, without having to add mud scrapers or changing out the standard press wheel or Chicken Tracker. These tubes keep fertilizer off the planter, whether you use one or two tubes per row. They are becoming more popular as more Case 2100 series planters are being sold.
