With over 280 different positions to choose from, the ADF covers almost every employment category.

Our entry level jobs are called General Entry. These are non-trade based positions.

These positions are available to candidates with education from year 9 – year 12. Generally, Maths and English are the main subjects required.

Technical Trade based Apprenticeships.

Education requirements for these positions is a min of Year 10 schooling with passes in English, Maths and Science (preferably Physics).

We cover most trade based positions. Some examples are:

OFFICER ENTRY

Our management avenue of entry covers 4 avenues:

• Direct Entry Officer• Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA)• Defence Sponsored Undergraduate• Graduate

Depending on the avenue of entry, the minimum education requirement for Officer Entry is Year 12 with passes in Maths and English.

ADFA candidates must achieve a TER of 70 to be accepted but can apply during year 11.
