January 8: Neil Waldman - Author/Illustrator: In addition to Neil Waldman's work as a Grades painter of fine art landscapes, he is also well known as a children's book K-5 illustrator. He has illustrated over forty children's books and over one hundred book jackets, including seven Newberry winners. January 14: Lou Del Bianco - Around The World: "Around the World" is an exciting 50 Grade minute cultural program that combines storytelling, theater, and music. Lou K invites children onstage to help him act out stories that reflect the African, South and North American, Asian and European cultures. Each story contains a valuable lesson that can teach us all something about ourselves.
