ARTS BOARD MATCHING DEADLINE TO APPLY IS AUGUST 15, 2016 Arts Board Matching promotes dynamic leadership in the arts community by cultivating board skills and making matches between business professionals and arts organizations in need of board members. By serving on a nonprofit board of directors, professionals learn to lead and influence people, take risks, resolve conflicts, practice creative decision-making, and help strengthen the community. Oct. 12 | Followed by a reception at Pinnacle Financial for current class members, alumni and arts leaders. Governance for Arts Nonprofits: Nashville Children’s Theater | Wed., Oct. 19 Fiduciary & Financial Responsibilities: The Nashville Ballet | Wed., Oct. 26 Fundraising & Strategy: Tennessee Performing Arts Center | Wed., Nov. 2 PART TWO After completing training, business participants will attend a speed-dating style Matching Event on Tues., Nov. 10 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. HOW TO GET INVOLVED Email a copy of your résumé and a cover letter expressing interest in the Arts Board Matching program to Amber Buker at [email protected] by August 15. Program fee is $750. Most participants’ companies/organizations are willing to pay this fee but some pay it themselves.
