Exhibition Program 2019City of Casey Art Spaces Program presents a diverse group of talented artists in thirty exhibitions across four Casey Cardinia Library Network Art Spaces. We are proud to host a thriving community of inspirational visual artists and crafters sharing their creativity through these exhibitions. Across the annual program you will find a vast representation of artwork, ideas, concepts and visual techniques.

New this year, you will have the opportunity to Meet the Artist as some of the Art Space artists give talks about their exhibition at the libraries.

In 2019 we invite you to enter the world of an artist by making sure that every library visit includes an Art Space exhibition experience.

Di Lockwood is a contemporary printmaker and mixed media artist, so when the retina specialist diagnosed macular degeneration in her right eye she was slightly worried. Six months later her second eye crashed.

It was life changing and art changing. Carving fine lines for printmaking became too difficult, but painting remained a joy. Texture, colour and contrast became even more important in her work. She began to paint portraits because it was facial recognition that became the biggest challenge to Di in her new way of seeing.
