Market Overview

The 20-29ppm and 30-49ppm market segments are currently growing at the fastest rate in the overall colour market and the new MX-2610N and MX-3110N are set to play a key part in Sharp’s future growth.

Overall, Infosource are expecting to see a growth in the A3 colour MFP market mainly at the expense of A3 B&W MFPs, with the share of 20-29ppm and 30-49ppm machines expected to remain steady across the coming years at around 85% of all A3 colour MFP sales.

For Sharp, the MX-2610N and MX-3110N are expected to make up the bulk of our sales in these categories

As you can see in the charts above, colour sales have made significant in-roads into the overall split of all A3 MFP sales over the last couple of years with A3 B&W devices seeing a gradual decline in sales at the expense of colour.

Although we have seen growth in the colour market at the expense of the B&W market in recent years the overall A3 MFP market remains flat in the UK & Ireland at around 110,000 – 120,000 units sold every year across all segments.

The MX-3110N / MX-2610N are the first Sharp MFPs with support for OSA 4.0, which enhances various features and performance. In addition, Sharp has newly developed the expanded platform that can support SaaS type applications.

Therefore, Sharp has created two types of platform.

1. A conventional platform (original platform), which does NOT support SaaS type applications

2. An extended platform, which supports SaaS type applications.

Note: Software for both platforms is not compatible.

Extended PlatformAllows Sharp OSA server to be placed outside of the Firewall in addition to inside of the Firewall.
