Data Sources Dissemination/Publication Framework Map Production Heavy rains across parts of the Ebro river basin near Zaragoza have caused flooding in numerous rural and urban areas. The most affected built-up areas are Pradilla de Ebro, Alcalá de Ebro and Cabañas de Ebro. The flood has been caused by successive rains that led to the strong rise of the river Ebro and its tributaries. The absolute maximum of this long precipitation event occurred in Castejón on January 21st and in Zaragoza on January 23rd when the Ebro river reached its highest level. The core user of the map is Dirección General de Protección Civil y Emergencias. The scope of the map production is to support the Dirección General de Protección Civil y Emergencias in outlining the flood maximum.
