ARDI- Access to Research for Development and Innovation

The Access to Research for Development and Innovation (ARDI) program is coordinated by World

Intellectual Property Organization together with its partners in the publishing industry with the aim to

increase the availability of scientific and technical information in developing countries. Currently, over

100 publishers provide access to around 30,000 journals, books, and reference works for 121

developing countries and territories through ARDI.

What is WIPO?

WIPO is the global forum for intellectual property services, policy, information and cooperation.We are a self-funding agency of the United Nations, with 191 member states which establishedWIPO in 1967.

Research4life :

Research4Life is the collective name for the four programmes Hinari,

AGORA, OARE and ARDI– that provide developing countries with free or low

cost access to academic and professional peer-reviewed content

is an information and analytics company and one of the world's major providers

of scientific, technical, and medical information. It was established in 1880 as

a publishing company

Science Direct:

is Elsevier’s leading information solution for researchers. University libraries and

institutions offer ScienceDirect access to their communities of researchers. Researchers,

teachers, students, healthcare and information professionals use ScienceDirect to improve

the way they search, discover, read, understand and share scholarly research.

Search for peer-reviewed journals, articles, book chapters and open Access content.

Other ways for individuals to access content on Science Direct:

1. Science Direct offers a growing amount of open access and complimentary material for

anyone to access and read

2. Individuals can order articles to be delivered in electronic or print format via pay per

view Pay per view, a credit card-based article purchasing option

3. On the Elsevier Store, you can order online or print subscriptions to many of

our journals and books, as well as purchase article packages

4. Guest user access means you can access and read all abstracts and citations on

Science Direct for free; you can even sign in on Science Direct to set up alerts and

manage your preferences
