Students entering Grades 6 – 12 or just graduated 12 Arden Teen Company Summer Camps provide the opportunity to study with Philadelphia’s top theatre artists. We offer one day masterclasses, one, two, or three week camps and a four week musical theatre studio so you can create an experience that’s right for you.

ACTING CAMPFor students entering grades 6 - 8 July 15 – 26 (Mondays - Fridays only)Final Performance: Friday, July 26, 4pm 10am - 5pmExtended Day option – drop off 9am, pick up 6pm (inquire for rates)
At Teen Company Acting Camp, some of Philly’s finest theatre pros will teach you how to be an active listener, create believable characters and build your ensemble skills while working with a script. At the end of camp on Friday, July 26th at 4 pm, parents, friends, and family will be invited to a staged reading starring you!
COST: $700
MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP For students entering grades 6 - 8July 29 – August 16 (Mondays - Fridays only)Final Performance: Friday, August 16, 4pm 10am - 5pmExtended Day option – drop off 9am, pick up 6pm (inquire for rates)
At Teen Company Musical Theatre Camp, musical theatre professionals will teach you how to hone your singing, dancing, and acting skills while learning how to read music, sing harmony, integrate choreography, and interpret a song. At the end of camp on Friday, August 16th at 4 pm, parents, friends, and family will be invited to a musical revue featuring musical numbers you’ve worked on over the three weeks.

Take one or all five days to further develop your skills as an actor
THE CHARACTER PROJECT Learn how to change your voice and alter your body to become any character. This class includes games and exercises that work on your vocal technique, improv, and the physical life of a character. You’ll learn the skills you need to play any role. WHOSE LINE IS IT? Always wanted to be on Saturday Night Live? Timing and teamwork are just some of the skills you will learn as you create new characters and storylines while thinking on your feet. In this improv and sketch comedy class you will play theatre games and use short form scenes to increase your listening and ensemble building skills that will develop you into a believable, exciting improviser. THE IT FACTOR Looking to improve your techniques for your next audition? Whether it’s your high school play, a college entrance audition, or a professional gig, come learn from theatre professionals who cast and audition to hear both sides of the audition process. Gain the confidence you need to have a stand out audition. Please come prepared with a monologue memorized and we ask that you bring a copy of the monologue to the class.

THE ARDEN’S GOT TALENT Sharpen your acting skills by working on scenes from contemporary plays with theatre professionals. This class will challenge you to analyze text and create believable characters while honing your performance technique.
THE SING OFFTake this fast- paced one-day musical theatre intensive with some of Philly’s finest pros. A perfect addition to your musical theatre training, you will learn challenging material from popular Broadway shows.
Price of this class ($65) also includes a ticket to the Arden’s 8pm performance of A Little Night Music.

SKETCH COMEDY WEEKFor students entering grades 9 - 12 or just graduated 12July 8 – 12, 11am - 5pmFinal Performance: Friday, July 12, 4pm
Friday Night Live! – Live from Arden Theatre Company, it’s Friday night! Create a short form improv show throughout the week. From writing, rehearsing, directing, and designing – you’ll learn all about what it takes to put up a sketch comedy show. Family and friends come back to watch you show on Friday at 4pm.

Audition, rehearse, and perform a one-act production of Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods. Mounted on the Arden stage, you will work with a professional director, musical director, and choreographer to bring this production to life, complete with sets, lights, and costumes.
