Archway Cottage is beautifully situated on a no-through road

just a short walking distance from the centre of the village.

Caldbeck is a popular Lake District village and has a good

range of local facilit ies including a pub and a number of tea

rooms and cafes along with a general store. A doctors

surgery is within easy walking distance. The village is a very

active community having a wide range of societies and clubs

to suit all tastes. Caldbeck has an active nursery and primary

school. The cricket club is situated on the eastern outskirts

of the village and beyond this is the village of Hesket

Newmarket which has a public house of note in that it has its

own micro-brewery and has been favoured by Prince Charles

on his visits to the area.

Caldbeck is well placed for access to the historic and natural

beauty that surrounds it and is within easy travelling distance

of the main centres of Penrith and the regional capital,

Carlisle. Penrith and Carlisle are both served by the West

Coast Mainline for fast and frequent services to London in

around three hours from Penrith
