Choose your Fitness Class:Zumba – A fun way to burn calories! There are many health benefits of Zumba, including its ability to burn calories, work out the entire body, boost the metabolism, increase endurance, boost mood, aid coordination, and improve confidence.

Cardio/Aerobics - Besides strengthening your heart and lungs, aerobic exercise can help lower your cholesterol and blood pressure. Physical benefits. Aerobic exercise burns up calories, which can in turn help you shed excess weight.

Yoga Basics - We gently stretch the body, build strength and agility through seated and standing yoga postures and learn the proper form of each posture. Students need to be able to get up and down from the floor on their own.

Yoga Intermediate - is a more challenging yoga class that introduces Sun Salutations, planks and Downward Facing Dogs into your yoga practice. This is not a beginner’s yoga class - Basic knowledge of yoga is expected.

Yoga Advanced - is our most challenging yoga class. This class flows from 1 posture to the next, incorporating all the knowledge, postures and agility learned in Basic and Intermediate and takes you to the next level. This is an advanced class for students who already have a well-developed yoga practice.

Pilates - is a body conditioning system that develops a strong “core,” or center of the body. The core consists of the deep abdominal muscles along with the muscles closest to the spine. Benefits of Pilates can include a body with balanced strength and flexibility, which is less likely to be injured.

Restorative Yoga - Restore your body, relax your mind, and let stress melt away in this very gentle and relaxing yoga class

T’ai Chi Chih – is a series of 19 gentle movements and one pose. Regular practice seems to lower blood pressure and boost the immune system

NEW Interest Groups! DWM Progressives: This group will provide a forum for like-

minded individuals to communicate and work together on progressive issues. We will hold regularly scheduled meetings to disseminate important information, host guest speakers, gather for activities such as rally participation, offer candidate house

parties & forums, and organize get-out-vote activities. Members are encouraged to be as active as they wish, from simply being part of the communication network to participating in many of

the activities. Everyone is welcome! For more information, please contact either Kathy Porter [email protected] and/or

Cynthia Gefvert [email protected]
