in Zoos and Aquariums

Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas

Water!

Few things are more fundamental to the core of

what we do in aquaria and zoological parks.

Regardless of the species of animal or plant water is

central to their management and care. Indeed water

is such an essential aspect of the husbandry

challenges we face every day that many problems

will be negated by a dutiful attention to water

treatment techniques and water quality control.

Why a Symposium?

The aim of the Symposium is to bring together

learned individuals and neonates from around the

globe to exchange information about water use and

management in aquaria and zoological parks. The

idea is to provide a forum for the presentation,

discussion, peer review, and documentation of every

aspect of water treatment and water quality control

within our institutions.

Core Sessions

Four days of presentations on core subject material

provide a forum for authors to present their findings

and discuss implications with symposium delegates.

Ample time for open discussion follow presentations,

allowing for questions to be fielded by the speakers

and suggestions or personal experiences to be

communicated by symposium delegates.

Accommodations

The 2nd Aquality Symposium for Water Quality and

Water Treatment in Zoos and Aquariums will be held

at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas at Paradise

Island.

A limited block of rooms has been reserved for

Symposium attendees. A special room rate of

$99/night + taxes/fees makes it affordable for

everyone to enjoy an outstanding program of

Caribbean. Moderate ($129/night) and deluxe

($179/night) accommodations are also available. See
