We recognize that during these challenging times, effective and accurate communication is essential to the success of your COC and Pre-College programs. Risk Management and the Children on Campus Program will collaborate with the Center For Educational Outreach and additional internal and external partners to deliver reliable information to support your programs. You can expect the following…
Updated information on the COC website that aligns with University protocols
Department/Unit specific guidance and training related to COC and Pre-College programs
Your questions answered and Training or communication for your department/unit.
Delivery of ServicesRegistration • The Registration Portal on the COC is operational
• All programs should continue to be registered via the Portal• Virtual/Online programs involving children must be registered• Modifications/Updates will be made to reflect online classes
Training • Training Protocols remain the same• Training related to virtual platforms will be added to COC site• Group or Individual training as needed will be provided
Forms • Forms will be updated to reflect virtual learning requirement •Forms must be reviewed prior to submission-OGC• Notification will be sent out to departments Re: Updates
Background ChecksContinuation of Services
• SSC will continue to process Background Checks
• Adult Screening is requiredevery 2 years
• Program Admin. will receive updates regarding results via Google Spreadsheet
Changes To Service• Adults in Virtual/Online
Programs must be screened• Background Checks submitted
after March 15th may experience processing delays-closed municipalities
• No delays for ICHAT Screenings
• Michigan residents may process faster

K-12• School may not resume this year• Most districts have onLine platforms• Students have signed AUP
