Blessed with God’s love and grace, we celebrate gifts of diversity.
By Jesus Christ’s example, we welcome, in love, all who rejoice and worship with us.
+ + +
God’s spirit, given by Christ, flows through us as living water to wash, heal, and satisfy.
As a congregation we become a fountain, sharing this living water with others.
*Please stand, in body or in spirit. Text printed in bold italics to be read in unison.
Prelude Canon Pachelbel/Liebergen Chiming of the Hour Welcome
Introit (hymn 17) Sing praises now, God's people; your gift of speech employ To praise the Lord, your Maker, with thankfulness and joy! Sing with the whole creation; a cosmic chorus raise: "To God alone be glory and everlasting praise!"
*Call to Worship
Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed! God’s Spirit ushers forth new hope and promise. Let all living things praise their Creator and sing for joy!
*Hymn 37 Let All Things Now Living
*Call to Confession
*Prayer of Confession
God of mercy, each moment is a new creation from you; yet we rarely see our days as a divine gift. We approach this planet as a dispenser of resources to which we are entitled, rather than a precious garden we are called to tend. We regard others as those who merely get in our way, rather than brothers and sisters of equal status in your eyes. Forgive us, we pray. By your grace, open us to the splendor of your creation and the wonder of each hour, that we might live as those who waste no time in sharing the good news of your reconciling love; in the name of the risen Christ we pray.
(time for silent confession) And let God’s people say: Amen.
*Assurance of Forgiveness
*The Peace of Christ Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us forgive one another. The peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. And also with you. Let us share the peace of Christ with one another.

WORSHIP NOTES
Easter is more than a single day of celebration—
it is a season that spans 50 days beyond the Day of
Resurrection and the Day of Pentecost. Today is
the fifth Sunday of Easter.
In worship this morning, listen for hymns that re-
flect the observance of Earth Day, April 22. In
1970, San Francisco activist John McConnell and
Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson separately
asked Americans to join in a grassroots demon-
stration of national support for environmental is-
sues. We give thanks to God for the wonder and
beauty of creation.
Today in worship we celebrate the Sacrament
of Baptism for Selma Lavender, daughter of
Camille Graves and Will Lavender, and little
sister of Esmee.
