A rare occurrence we enter into April with Easter having been celebrated prior to the end of March. We look ahead to what our faith will grow in and around this great church of ours. I am reminded of the great chapter of faith in Hebrews 11, which begins, “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” How perfect an explanation of faith. Hope and certainty, and this the ancients were commended for. Will we be commended for our hope in Jesus Christ and his payment for sin of the whole world and we are credited with righteousness. As James 2:23 stated that “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Faith, the faith that saves and the roll call of the saints in heaven Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses’ parents, Moses, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, the prophets, and now your name and my name by faith given us by the Holy Spirit lists us in the roll call above, with the name above all names Jesus. How thank filled I am that I cannot think of a single member not having true faith in Jesus as their Savior and it being credited to you and me as righteousness. Righteousness to live in love. Righteous- ness to speak of Christ boldly. Righteousness to live in the world knowing that we are one with the Lord and He always has our back. The key to the list of righteous is that they prayed….talked with God. How is your prayer life? Have you talked to God lately? Come into His presence with thanksgiving for all the blessings He so freely gives. I thank God for each and every one of you individually and collectively. I pray for what I know is in your life and for the health, wellbeing and forgiveness for your life and relationships in the world. I pray for blessings abundant to all of you through faith and in life. I am empowered by your faith lives, and gain great joy in seeing and knowing the blessings that God has given to each of you. A recent Christian movie called the War Room aired in theatres around the country and took the country by storm with a beautiful message of prayer and the blessings that God gives through prayer. Linda and I have purchased this movie and will be showing it to the congregation this summer and then having a continuing Bible class for several weeks to encourage each of us to have more prayer in our lives. I truly pray that each of you who are able to view the movie with us this summer will be in attendance and that each of you will make yourselves available to be at the summer Bible classes on prayer. I think your lives will be changed for the better, I know our lives were changed for the better. Prayer is not simply a onetime event, it is a life of prayer. Prayer is of great importance to the point God the Holy Spirit is praying for us constantly; Romans 8:26. My prayer for us, is deeper faith, stronger witnessing and a love for our fellow man that can be seen and draws people to the church like spring flowers attract bees. May God bless US and keep US and may we shine His glory and favor to the world around us. Amen and Amen. In Christian love Pastor Meseke April 2016 Newsletter The Church that Is A Family Rev. A rare occurrence we enter into April with Easter having been celebrated

prior to the end of March. We look ahead to what our faith will grow in and

around this great church of ours.

I am reminded of the great chapter of faith in Hebrews 11, which begins,

“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not

see.” How perfect an explanation of faith. Hope and certainty, and this the

ancients were commended for. Will we be commended for our hope in Jesus

Christ and his payment for sin of the whole world and we are credited with

righteousness. As James 2:23 stated that “Abraham believed God, and it

was credited to him as righteousness.”

Faith, the faith that saves and the roll call of the saints in heaven Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac,

Jacob, Joseph, Moses’ parents, Moses, Rahab, Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, the

prophets, and now your name and my name by faith given us by the Holy Spirit lists us in the roll call

above, with the name above all names Jesus.

How thank filled I am that I cannot think of a single member not having true faith in Jesus as their

Savior and it being credited to you and me as righteousness. Righteousness to live in love. Righteous-

ness to speak of Christ boldly. Righteousness to live in the world knowing that we are one with the

Lord and He always has our back.

The key to the list of righteous is that they prayed….talked with God. How is your prayer life? Have

you talked to God lately? Come into His presence with thanksgiving for all the blessings He so freely

gives. I thank God for each and every one of you individually and collectively. I pray for what I know is

in your life and for the health, wellbeing and forgiveness for your life and relationships in the world. I

pray for blessings abundant to all of you through faith and in life. I am empowered by your faith lives,

and gain great joy in seeing and knowing the blessings that God has given to each of you.

A recent Christian movie called the War Room aired in theatres around the country and took the

country by storm with a beautiful message of prayer and the blessings that God gives through prayer.

Linda and I have purchased this movie and will be showing it to the congregation this summer and

then having a continuing Bible class for several weeks to encourage each of us to have more prayer in

our lives. I truly pray that each of you who are able to view the movie with us this summer will be in

attendance and that each of you will make yourselves available to be at the summer Bible classes on

prayer. I think your lives will be changed for the better, I know our lives were changed for the better.

Prayer is not simply a onetime event, it is a life of prayer. Prayer is of great importance to the point

God the Holy Spirit is praying for us constantly; Romans 8:26.

My prayer for us, is deeper faith, stronger witnessing and a love for our fellow man that can be seen

and draws people to the church like spring flowers attract bees. May God bless US and keep US and

may we shine His glory and favor to the world around us. Amen and Amen.
