Greetings,
This Thursday we will celebrate Holy
Thursday. Mass is scheduled for
7:30 p.m. at Christ the King church.
I invite you to come and participate in
the supper of our Lord. There is no
requirement to attend. Adoration will
follow Mass until 10:00 p.m.
This Friday we celebrate Good Friday. Good Friday
services are at 12:00 (noon) at Christ the King and
3:00 p.m. at St. Joseph, Clarissa. I invite you to come and
share in the passion of our Lord as we come together to
venerate the cross. There is no requirement to attend.
This Saturday we will come together to celebrate Holy
Saturday at 8:00 p.m. at Christ the King. The Church
refers to this Mass as the “mother” of all liturgies. During
Mass we will welcome two children into our Church
through the sacrament of baptism. They have been part of
the RCIC program over the last few months. We will also
welcome two adults who have been going through the
RCIA process as they confirm their faith in the Catholic
Church. Then, as we celebrate the Eucharist, these four
pilgrims will receive for the first time the Most Holy Body
and Blood of our Savior, Jesus Christ. There is no
requirement to attend.
One of the most precious gifts that God has given us is
free will. Even though there is no requirement to attend, I
invite you to attend. Keep in mind, the Christ the King
church building only holds about 480 people or there
about. So, consider getting there early. Hint: it is also
easier to find a parking space. Holy Saturday (Easter
Vigil) does fulfill your Sunday obligation. Please note the
change in times for our Sunday Masses Easter morning.
~Blessings, Fr. Peter

Divine Mercy Novena and Chaplet Pamphlets are available at the church entrances. The nine day Novena begins on Good Friday. Divine Mercy Sunday is April 27th.
Our Lord said to Saint Faustina: Encourage souls to say the Chaplet which I have given you. ...Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death. … When they say this chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying person, not as the Judge but as the Merciful Savior. … Priest will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from My infinite mercy. I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those souls who trust in My mercy. … Through the Chaplet you will obtain everything, if what you ask for is compatible with My will (687, 1541, 1731).
