Qualifications Professional Qualifications that can be included; AAT – Advanced Diploma in Accounting Progression On completion, as well as ensuring full competency as an Assistant Accountant, this standard provides the foundation for progression into a number of career paths in the accounting sector including Audit Trainee, Corporate Recovery Analyst, Credit Controller or Tax Accountant. Level 3 students can progress onto a Level 4 Apprenticeship Programme. Delivery BPP can provide flexible study methods for the Level 3 programmes including: • In Classroom face-to-face Online Classroom Live (real time) or a mix of both Entry requirements The entry requirement for this apprenticeship will be decided by each employer, but may typically be five GCSEs, including Maths and English. Key responsibilities Likely to include assisting in day to day financial activities such as data entry to month end management accounts and/or year-end financial statements. In addition the Assistant Accountant may find themselves involved in regulatory financial requirements such as completion of VAT returns or assisting in the preparation of tax computations. BPP price * £8,500 Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours: The Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours required within this apprenticeship include: Business Awareness, IT Systems and Processes, Ethical Standards, Financial Accounting and Reporting, Management Accounting, Analysis, Communication, Quality and Accurate Information, and Problem Solving. * This price includes tuition courses, coaching support, compliance, admin and End Point Assessment costs. It does not include institute registration fees or institute exam fees. The standard will align to a Level 3 professional qualification with one professional body and uses a much more innovative and flexible approach to demonstrating competency. The ambition of the new standard is to encourage access to the accountancy/taxation profession through the delivery of a high quality programme which is fit for performance in the workplace.
