Scale of pay : 8600-250-14600(The pay structure is due for upward revision w.e.f.01.01.2007 and the scale carriesIndustrial Dearness Allowance).

Qualification :

A - ESSENTIAL

1. Post Graduate Degree of a recognized University.

2. A Degree or Diploma in Public Relations or Journalism or Equivalent

B DESIRABLEExperience in Information and Public Relation works.

Age limit for direct recruits :30 years and below as on 01.02.2009.

The candidates should possess the requisite experience and qualifications as on 01.02.2009.

Upper age limit is relaxable to the extent of 5 years in the case of SC/ST Candidates. Upper age limit relaxable to the extent of 3 yearsin the case of OBC Candidates. The OBC Candidates have to submit the caste certificate regarding their OBC Status as wellas exclusion from creamy layer in the pro-forma prescribed by the Central Government. The upper age limit is also relaxable forGovernment servants as per extant rules. Age limit prescribed above is not applicable in respect of the Port Employees who applies for the post,provided they possess the prescribed qualifications and experience as specified above. The SC/ST/OBC Candidates have to submit the latestcaste certificate.

Candidates, if appointed will be governed by the New Pension Scheme, which came in to force w.e.f.01-01-2004 and other Rules &Regulations of Visakhapatnam Port Trust. Details will be intimated at the time of appointment.

before 20.03.2009 SUPERSCRIBING the cover APPLICATION TO THE POST OF ASSISTANT INFORMATION & PUBLIC RELATIONSOFFICER (CLASS-II) .

Applications of those already in service should be got forwarded through their Employer duly furnishing NOOBJECTION CERTIFICATE along with Administrative and Vigilance Clearance duly enclosing the ACRs for the last 5 (five) years. No advancecopies of application from the applicant will be accepted. Competent Authority of the respective Organisation should forward only the eligibleapplications before the due date. Those applications, which are forwarded by the Competent Authority of the respective Organisation, will only beconsidered. Applications incomplete, illegible unsigned without requisite attested copies and not in prescribed format and received after due datewill be rejected. Visakhapatnam Port Trust will not be responsible for non-receipt of applications / late receipt of any communication sent to thecandidates due to postal delay / lost in transit. Only, short listed candidates will be considered for selection process.

Candidates selected are eligible to draw total emoluments of Rs.18, 695/- approximately (offering the initial basis pay of Rs.8600/- pluseligible allowances as per rules) besides other benefits being extended to Visakhapatnam Port Trust Officers.

The vacancy shown above is provisional and liable to vary at any state. In case, the Recruitment process is cancelled at any stage dueto un avoidable circumstances, the Visakhapatnam Port Trust is not liable to compensate the applicant for consequential damage/ laws.

Candidates should note that mere fulfilling the minimum requisite qualification and experience shown for the post bestow no right onthem to consider them for further process.
