Project Description
The main goal in the milling of dies and molds is to achieve a high surface quality. With DATRON high-speed milling technology, workpieces coming directly off the machine are ideal for the process without any additional finishing or rework.
By using the Ø 20 monoblock milling tool, a high material removal rate can be achieved during roughing. Smoothing is done with 0.1 mm lateral and depth infeed. PerfectCut’s software functionality not drasticically reduces machining time and also eliminates the need for any kind of post-processing operations to produce this smooth 3D shape.
