Admission rules for schools using Hertfordshire County Council’s admission criteria

SEN Children with a statement of special educational needs or education, health and care plan naming the school.

CLA Children looked after and children who were looked after, but ceased to be so because they were adopted (or became subject to a child arrangements order or a special guardianship order).

Social/Medical Children for whom it can be demonstrated that they have a particular medical or social need to go to the school.

Siblings Children who have a sibling on the roll of the school or linked school at the time of application. Note: This applies to reception through to Year 5 in infant, junior and primary schools; and from reception through to Year 3 in first schools; and from Year 5 to Year 7 in middle schools.

Nearest School Children for whom it is their nearest community or voluntary controlled school or an own admitting authority school or adademy using Hertfordshire County Council’s admission rules.

Distance Children who live nearest to the school.

NRA – applicants allocated to the school where it has not been possible to offer a place at any of their ranked schools. Applicants who made an ontime application (before 15 January 2015) are displayed as an ‘Ontime NRA’ and applicants who made a late application (prior to 9 March 2015) are displayed as a ‘Late NRA’. Addendum sheet Primary allocations After this report was produced, the following changes have occurred:

1 unplaced child from the parish of Bishops Stortford was allocated a school place in Essex.

1 child from the parish of Watford Rural previously allocated to Oxhey Wood Primary School was allocated a school place in Hillingdon.

1 child from the parish of Sandridge previously given a non ranked allocation (NRA) to Sandridge School was allocated to Wheatfield Infants’ and Nursery School.
