were classmates way
back in high schooln Koronadal City. We
belonged to the same
group in high school,
and even became
band mates in junior
high.

M:My mom brought me along to a skin care class in
Koronadal City. I was little bit interested. When I tried
Mary Kay, I was really convinced that I should use this
or my skin care regimen.

She asked me if I would like
to avail a free facial. Besides,
I didnt really know how to

you were the winner?
F:I was shocked because I did not expect that we
would come this far. I couldnt believe I was one of the
top 8 finalists, in the top 3, then winner pa kaya!
M:Overwhelmed and grateful. God made it possible
for us to win this competition.
Tell us your One Woman CanTMBeauty Contest Asia Pacific
experience.
M:The moment we arrived in Hong Kong, we
were treated just like VIPs. The best thing about the
contest was the training by celebrity makeup artist
Gary Chung. He shared his expertise in makeup
like how to achieve flawless skin and smoky eyes.
Second day was the busiest. I felt the pressure
running through my veins because I had to do
Fatimas makeover. In fact, I was even worried that I
would not be able to finish her makeover within the
given time. Third day was the finale and we won!
F: I learned a lot from fashion,modeling to makeup application
-- the total experience of a
model. It never occurred in
my mind that it would happen
to me. The finale was nerve-
wrecking. Before the show
started, I prayed hard, just
enjoyed the moment and stayed true to myself.In
three days, my confidence level went up.
Fatima, I heard that youll begoing to New York, USA for theMary Kay global beauty campaign
in December. How do you feelabout it?
F: Im so stoked! I cant believe that at my early
age, I will have the chance to go to the United States
for free. Other people are much more excited for
me, especially my family. New York seems like a
very different place compared to the life I have in
Koronadal City. God is good. Thank you Mary Kay!
